2017 Chevrolet Equinox LT

Notes from the dealer
Drivers evaluating multiple compact SUVs benefit most from the Equinox LT's blend of spaciousness, comfortable seating, and user-friendly tech. It excels for families and commuters who need versatile cargo space, standard heated seats, and a smooth highway ride. The SUV is especially well-suited for buyers prioritizing rear-seat comfort and daily practicality over flashy styling.
While the Honda CR-V and Ford Escape boast turbocharged options, the Equinox's 2.4L 4-cylinder engine with 6-speed automatic delivers consistent power and refined operation, ideal for city and highway use. Its FlexFuel capability and smooth transmission set it apart for those seeking both efficiency and reliable long-term performance without sacrificing daily drivability.
In safety, the Equinox LT offers standard features often optional on rivals, such as a rearview camera, ABS brakes, traction control, and stability control. Its OnStar emergency communication system provides added peace of mind, while multiple airbags and electronic stability systems enhance occupant protection, making it a leader for standard active safety equipment.
This SUV's Convenience Package adds an 8-way power driver's seat, remote vehicle starter, and automatic climate control, elevating comfort and ease. The Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system with Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and premium audio ensures seamless connectivity. Heated seats and a sliding rear bench provide adaptability and comfort for both driver and passengers.
Compared to the Honda CR-V and Ford Escape, the Equinox LT delivers a quieter interior and sliding rear seats as standard, features often missing or extra-cost on competitors. Its reputation for durability and strong resale value further differentiates it, offering buyers more confidence in their investment over time.
Choosing the Equinox LT means gaining a flexible rear seat for cargo versatility, standard heated seats for year-round comfort, and MyLink infotainment without needing higher trims. Buyers often ask about long-term reliabilityâ"the Equinox's track record and JD Power Dependability Study recognition answer that. Value seekers find its standard features and smooth ride outpace rivals for overall ownership satisfaction.

Sound car roomy an makes the trip
by Anonymous Reviewer on 3/29/2026 1:10:23 PM
Bought this car at 19k miles. It now has 199k an has been everywhere. If you do the required repairs and maintenances it’ll last . I love this car. GPS, roof rack, pioneer speakers, moon roof I have it at almost 30 mpg . I still have this car of 9 yrs. It’s still my daily commuter. I live in Maine so washing you vehicle keeps the rust at bay. - 5.0

Cute exterior, ugly interior
by Aime on 1/27/2026 7:37:08 AM
From first glance, the exterior is pretty cute and simple but when you look at the interior, it is very outdated. This car drives well on long car rides, but the Bluetooth and aux cord are very annoying. Surprisingly, this car can take off pretty well (flooring the gas) and it does pretty well merging on highways and interstates. I would say this is an okay car to drive, but it probably won’t be lasting me longer than 5 years.
