Notes from the dealer
Analytical shoppers who scrutinize spec sheets and weigh every feature against the competition will appreciate the Traverse RSâs comprehensive standard offerings. In the Sw Mt Vernon, IA area, where all-weather capability and flexible seating are everyday needs, itâs rare to find an SUV including ventilated front seats, adaptive cruise, and hands-free power liftgate as built-inâ"features often reserved for pricier trims in this segment. The non-smoker owner history further enhances its appeal for buyers concerned about long-term cleanliness and interior quality.
Performance value is front and center with a 2.5L DOHC engine paired to an 8-speed automatic and standard AWD, balancing strong real-world response with fuel savings versus larger-displacement rivals. The all-wheel-drive system provides confident traction in rain or snow, reducing potential future repair costs linked to drivetrain stress. Maintenance efficiency is bolstered by a straightforward powertrain, and the Traverse offers an impressively smooth drive for its class, ensuring owners donât sacrifice comfort to achieve strong dollar-per-horsepower value.
Safety value is a highlight: this SUV includes lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise, and a full 360-degree camera suite as standard equipment. Many competitors require expensive option packages to access these technologies. The Traverseâs suite of active safety aidsâ"plus four-wheel ABS, multiple airbags, and both front and rear camerasâ"delivers peace of mind with no extra cost, making it a standout for families who prioritize safety without stretching their budget.
Everyday life is easier with the Traverse RSâs robust feature set. Perforated leather-appointed seating, heated and ventilated front seats, second-row bucket seats, dual-zone climate control, power liftgate, and Bose Premium 12-speaker audio are all included. The navigation system and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto offer intuitive connectivity, while rain-sensing wipers and memory seating adapt seamlessly to daily routines. Power adjustments for both front seats and a split-bench third row maximize flexibility for changing needs, all at no added cost.
Compared to other SUVs like the Ford Explorer and Honda Pilot, the Traverse RSâs standard features represent a superior value proposition. While Explorer and Pilot often reserve ventilated seats, surround-view cameras, and premium audio for higher trims, these are included here. The Traverseâs combination of standard AWD and advanced driver assistance systems means you get more for your money, especially for families who refuse to compromise on comfort or safety.
Common research questions include: Whatâs included as standard equipment? This Traverse comes with navigation, ventilated leather seats, moonroof, adaptive cruise, 360-degree camera, and Bose audioâ"all standard. Is it worth the price? Given its extensive feature set and recent service loaner usage, it represents a top-tier value in its class. Which trim is the best value?

Mean looking SUV that looks more like a truck
by Anonymous Reviewer on 10/24/2024 7:33:54 PM
Man, Chevrolet just hit it out of the park with this one. The redesigned 2024 Traverse looks like a truck. Bigger than any other mid-sized SUV, more space compared to all midsize SUVs, best looking mid sized SUV. Everything is grand and big. Very comfortable seats. Engine is 4-cyl with turbo and works adequately. Will make a sound when accelerated or pushed hard but not a deal breaker. The infotainment system/screen and tech is amazing. Rear view camera, park assist, 360 degree camera. Ambient lighting. Mind blown! My first American car after having 4 japanese cars (3 Mazdas and 1 Suzuki) and 1 German (BMW). I am amazed. Hopefully this wont break because I am hearing complaints about failed transmission from some Z71 AWD twin clutch vehicles. I get an average of about 22 in city and 28 on the highways. Wish there was a hybrid option but then I remembered Toyota Grand Highlander has a stop sale on their models. Honda pilot, Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade doesn't have as of writing this review in Sep 2024. Mazda CX-90 was my other choice but it has no space in the 3rd row and behind the 3rd row. This traverse a decent sized adult can easily fit in the 3rd row. The steering wheel is so thick and suspension very soft. Comfortable for families who love some flare!
