Notes from the dealer
Shoppers comparing the Challenger to other muscle coupes will appreciate its blend of classic American style and everyday usability. This model excels for drivers who want track-ready power yet need daily comfortâ"its dual-zone automatic climate control and spacious cabin with premium-stitched dash panel easily outclass the tighter interiors of competitors. For those in regions facing unpredictable weather or long commutes, the Challengerâs suite of convenience features, including remote keyless entry and memory settings, ensure every drive is enjoyable and accessible.
While the Mustang GT and Camaro SS deliver strong acceleration, the Challengerâs SRT HEMI 6.4L V8 paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission offers a unique balance: aggressive straight-line capability with the added benefit of Adaptive Damping Suspension for improved ride quality. Brembo 6-pot front caliper brakes provide substantial stopping power, and the Performance Shift Indicator further enhances the enthusiast driving experience. Rear-wheel drive maximizes driver engagement, making the Challenger ideal for those who value classic muscle feel with modern handling.
Safety is prioritized with standard features that include Blind Spot & Cross Path Detection and a ParkView Rear Back-Up Cameraâ"equipment that is often optional or unavailable on competitors at this trim level. Advanced stability and traction controls, ABS brakes, and multiple airbags work together to help manage the Challengerâs performance safely. The Emergency communication system: SiriusXM Guardian adds peace of mind, especially for those who regularly drive in busy urban or suburban environments.
This coupeâs feature set is built around driver enjoyment and convenience. The Plus Package and Driver Convenience Group add practical touches like power multi-function foldaway mirrors and a power tilt/telescope steering column. The harman/kardon Audio Group w/Subwoofer and 18-speaker premium system elevate the in-cabin experience, while integrated voice command with Bluetooth and Uconnect 4C with 8.4" display keep you connected. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel mean year-round driving comfort, regardless of climate.
Compared to the Ford Mustang GT and Chevrolet Camaro SS, the Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody offers a distinctive widebody appearance and a more spacious interior, making it friendlier for longer trips or taller drivers. While both competitors have their strengths, neither matches the Challengerâs blend of muscle car heritage, standard advanced safety features, and premium audio as included in this trim. The Challengerâs combination of power, comfort, and tech creates a high-value package in the performance coupe class.
Prospective buyers often ask why to choose the Challenger over its segment rivals. It stands apart by combining the power of the SRT HEMI V8 with comforts like memory seat functions and dual-zone A/C, often extra-cost options elsewhere. Its widebody kit not only enhances grip and presence but is a factory inclusion, not an aftermarket add-on.

best muscle car ever owned , very roomy , big trunk , someone can actually fit in the back seat , exotic color , attracts a lot of attention , a lot of power with not a lot of wheel spin , throws you back in the seat and just hang on , owned 2 ss Camaros , no comparison to this car , practical , powerful and useful - 4.0
Good But Not Great

I bought my 2023 Challenger SXT Plus in 2024 as an unsold leftover. For the most part it is a very comfortable car, fun to drive with good acceleration and reasonable fuel economy. The sticker on the car was just a bit north of $43K but I bought it for $28,000, I think thus was because the car is a white elephant - a V6 model with every option in the book except navigation, which you don't need if you have a smartphone with a maps program. The V6 has decent acceleration and generally goes from 0 to 60 in about 6 seconds. Gas mileage is about 23 mpg: decent but not earth shattering. Handling is rather soft but Sport mode improves it noticeably at the expense of the ride. Acceleration response is also better but at low speed the car feels a bit jumpy when you step on the gas. The long front end makes the car somewhat challenging (excuse the pun) to navigate in tight corners and difficult to park. The build and quality have been generally quite good although the the theft alarm has gone off by itself on a few occasions and was diffucult to deactivate. Additionally, there are no control buttons for the heated/ventilated seats on the dash and they can only be accessed through the infotainment system, which is inconvenient. It 's not a perfect car, but my Challenger is easy to live with on a daily basis and very comfortable to drive akthough the handling could be better.
