2019 Ford Edge SEL
- Used
Notes from the dealer
Pragmatic buyers interested in a dependable midsize SUV will appreciate what the Edge SEL provides: all-wheel drive for tackling variable weather, robust safety equipment, and a spacious interior well-suited for families or professionals. In regions like Eastern Iowa where winters and rural commutes can test lesser vehicles, its blend of capability and comfort means fewer trade-offs over years of ownership.
A 2.0L EcoBoost I4 GTDi DOHC Turbocharged VCT engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission delivers efficient performance while reducing mechanical stressâ"a formula that supports longevity and lower service costs. The Edge's all-wheel-drive system helps maintain traction in adverse conditions. With a proven powertrain, this SUV is engineered for 150,000+ miles of reliable service when maintained on schedule.
Ownership costs are further protected by a suite of active safety features, including ABS brakes, electronic stability control, traction control, knee airbag, dual front and side impact airbags, SYNC 3 911 Assist emergency communication, and rear parking sensors. These systems not only improve daily safety but also help safeguard the SUVâs value and your investment by reducing the risk of costly accidents and repairs.
The Equipment Group 200A on this Edge SEL adds tangible comfort and convenience, such as heated power door mirrors, power driver and passenger seats, automatic temperature control, rain-sensing wipers, and SYNC 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The 12-speaker audio system, dual-zone climate, and unique cloth bucket seats translate to less aftermarket spending and higher retained value.
Compared to alternatives like the Chevrolet Blazer and Nissan Murano, the Edge SEL offers a competitive balance of durability and resale strength. Its turbocharged EcoBoost engine and all-wheel drive are designed for fewer maintenance surprises, while segment rivals may see steeper depreciation or higher service costs as they age. Owners can expect the Edge to hold value well over time, especially when maintained according to Fordâs guidelines.
Routine maintenance for this SUV typically includes oil changes every 7,500 to 10,000 miles under normal driving conditions. Fuel economy details are not provided here, but the EcoBoost engine is engineered to optimize efficiency for city and highway driving. Fordâs reputation for reliability holds up in midsize SUVs, and basic warranties commonly cover powertrain and major components for several years, though buyers should verify exact terms for this specific Edge SEL.

Best Auto in My 64 Years of Owning cars

I love my edge! I bought this car in the end of 2018 and have owed it for over 6 years. NO repairs needed. I am so happy not to have had it tied up for repairs as I am a REALTOR and drive part of every day. The only thing I have had done have been service. Keeping up with oil changes is so necessary. Oh, and I did replace the tires once. - 5.0
