Notes from the dealer
The Edge SEL is a strong fit for buyers researching a practical yet well-equipped SUV with a focus on comfort and active safety. Its heated leather seating, dual-zone climate control, and hands-free liftgate cater to daily convenience, while advanced features like blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control deliver peace of mind. This vehicle is especially appealing for those seeking reliable all-weather capability and a refined driving environment.
Performance in the Edge centers on the 2.0L EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder engine, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission for smooth acceleration and efficient highway cruising. The turbo engine produces ample torque for responsive city maneuvers and confident highway passing. All-wheel drive boosts traction in adverse conditions, and the suspension is tuned for both comfort and composed handling, making the SUV well-suited to a variety of driving scenarios.
Safety is a highlight, with a suite of driver-assist features prioritizing occupant protection and situational awareness. Blind spot monitoring alerts the driver to vehicles in adjacent lanes, while lane keep assist and lane departure warning help prevent unintended drift. Adaptive cruise control maintains safe following distances, and the rear camera with reverse sensing aids parking and low-speed maneuvers. Rain-sensing wipers and automatic high beams further enhance driver confidence.
Feature-rich, the Edge SEL incorporates Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ for advanced navigation and emergency communication, a premium 9-speaker audio system, and a wireless charging pad for device convenience. The Cold Weather Package adds heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, ensuring comfort in colder climates. Remote start, power-adjustable front seats, and SYNC 3 infotainment with voice-activated navigation enhance daily usability and connectivity.
Against midsize SUV competitors like the Chevrolet Equinox and Honda CR-V, the Edge stands out with its turbocharged powertrain and broader standard tech suite. While the Equinox offers comparable infotainment, the Edgeâs advanced safety systems and comfort features provide tangible everyday advantages. Its proven reliability and practical interior further reinforce its position as a high-value option in this segment.
Key features in this SUV include a hands-free liftgate, adaptive cruise, heated leather seats, advanced driver assists, and SYNC 3 infotainment. The turbocharged engine provides balanced performance in daily driving, combining responsive acceleration with efficient cruising. Safety systems like blind spot detection and lane keep assist offer reassurance. Before a test drive, consider its interior space, tech features, and overall ride quality for daily needs.

Best Auto in My 64 Years of Owning cars

I love my edge! I bought this car in the end of 2018 and have owed it for over 6 years. NO repairs needed. I am so happy not to have had it tied up for repairs as I am a REALTOR and drive part of every day. The only thing I have had done have been service. Keeping up with oil changes is so necessary. Oh, and I did replace the tires once. - 5.0

Just sold it for $15500. Sure glad I don’t have to depend on KBB, NADA, etc. Every body needs to go to www.shoeboxbooksandpublishing.com and buy this book “Buying A New ( or Used) Car, 5 Things Dealers Don’t Want You To Know “!
