Notes from the dealer
Tech-focused drivers seeking maximum connectivity will appreciate the Explorerâs forward-thinking features. The SUV is designed for those who value staying linked to their digital world, whether accessing apps, sending messages hands-free, or controlling smart devices through voice. Advanced driver-assistance systems, heated seats, and a power liftgate provide everyday convenience, making it ideal for commuters, families, and anyone who relies on tech for comfort and productivity.
Performance is enhanced by digital engineering, with the 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 engine delivering responsive power managed by a 10-speed automatic transmission. The drivetrainâs selectable drive modes tailor throttle response and traction for varying conditions, while electronic stability control ensures a composed ride. The Explorer leverages electronic systems to optimize acceleration, shifting, and overall driving dynamics, providing a smooth, adaptable experience.
Smart safety systems are integrated throughout, including Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist, and a Rear Camera. These features use radar, cameras, and onboard AI to detect vehicles, lane markings, and obstacles, actively assisting the driver in real time. Lane Departure Warning and Emergency Communication via SYNC 3 911 Assist further enhance protection, giving peace of mind without distracting from the journey.
The XLT trim brings a comprehensive package: SYNC 3 infotainment, a 12-speaker audio system, heated unique cloth captainâs chairs, and a leather-wrapped, heated steering wheel. Dual-zone climate control ensures comfort for all occupants. Hands-free smartphone integration supports wireless access to contacts, music, and navigation. The power liftgate and third-row seating expand utility, while remote keyless entry and push-button start keep access effortless.
Against tech-heavy rivals like the Chevrolet Traverse and Honda Pilot, the Explorerâs SYNC 3 system offers intuitive controls and robust voice command capabilities. Its infotainment screen and Wi-Fi hotspot keep it competitive, while over-the-air update readiness ensures features stay current. The Explorerâs digital integration and user-friendly interface make it a standout for those who demand seamless connectivity.
This model supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, letting users connect without cords. Driver assistance tech includes Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and rearview camera functionality. The infotainment systemâs responsiveness and app support rival competitors, with regular software updates. Remote vehicle functionsâ"like start and lockingâ"can be managed via the FordPass smartphone app, enhancing daily convenience.

Served our family well!
by Beth on 2/19/2026 11:46:55 PM
Trading my car in next week, I am gonna miss my Explorer. It’s been a good family car. Draw backs: the screen is glitchy at times. Some electronics malfunctioned and I won’t lie, they can be costly to fix. Comfortable, spacious. I never had any mechanical problems with the car, but I did take very good care of it at well. I maintained all recommended services and any replacements were all genuine Ford parts. I hope whoever buys our car, loves it as much as we did. - 5.0
2025 Ford Explorer Active, RWD

Hello everyone! I had this car for about 3 months and I absolutely love it! I love how reliable it is and how quick it can get when it’s needed. The 3rd row is tight, it is a mid-size SUV after all. If you have a bigger family, I would suggest getting a full size SUV. Unfortunately, there are a few issues that I’ve noticed. 1. Sometimes, the car stalls/jerks a little bit when accelerating. It doesn’t happen much. 2. On the infotainment screen, I can’t download or update any apps. It says pending and it keeps spinning over and over again. (it is a computer after all) I have an appointment soon to get these issues fixed but other than that, it’s been amazing. I am so very grateful for this car. It is my first real car I’ve ever had and I’m so lucky to have a choice for once for something I actually want. - 4.0
