2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude

Notes from the dealer
Enthusiasts who crave tactile feedback and a sense of connection will appreciate the Grand Cherokee Altitude's balance of comfort and control. The heated suede steering wheel, supportive black suede seats, and dual-zone climate system foster a cockpit-like environment, while 4WD and precise steering calibration keep the drive engaging in urban traffic and on winding backroads alike.
Under the hood, the 3.6L V6 24V VVT engine delivers brisk throttle response, with 295 horsepower paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Manual mode offers crisp, rev-matched downshifts, while sportier shift programming adapts for spirited driving. The SUV settles confidently over mid-corner bumps, communicates road texture through the wheel, and provides solid brake pedal feel for precise modulation.
Safety features enhance rather than intrude on the driving experience. Electronic Stability Control subtly reins in oversteer without dulling chassis response, and ABS brakes maintain composure under hard braking. The ParkView rear backup camera and reverse sensing system add awareness in tight maneuvers, while lane-keeping and emergency braking support assertive yet secure driving.
Altitude trim and the Quick Order Package 2BZ layer on features that elevate the drive: navigation with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, integrated voice command, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity keep drivers focused and informed. Heated front seats and the heated steering wheel add comfort on cold mornings, while the power liftgate and remote start streamline everyday usability.
Compared to rivals like the Ford Edge Sport and Toyota 4Runner TRD, the Grand Cherokee Altitude emphasizes a more tactile, rear-biased driving feel. It delivers superior steering feedback and a subtly firmer suspension tune, making it more engaging on twisty roads than the softer, less communicative alternatives in the segment.
Driving enthusiasts often ask whether the Grand Cherokee Altitude is genuinely fun to driveâ"its steering delivers real road feel with just-right weight, while the transmission's sport mode holds gears assertively for maximum control. On winding roads, the chassis settles with confidence, and the brakes inspire trust, making every commute or weekend detour a rewarding experience.

Love my 2015 JGC Limited
by Pomrus1 on 3/26/2026 9:30:19 PM
I’m the second owner of Lil Red. She has all the specs that I need and more. Moon roof, heated seats, towing package never used, black leather interior. Red pearlized exterior, Uconnect, Sirius Radio, custom boots and shoes and so much more. I bought the 125,000 mile extended warranty and haven’t had to use it but it brought me peace of mind. She is going to turn over 90,000 miles by summer 2026. I live in rural NE so the 4 wheel drive is great. I don’t ever use the off road option but it’s available. I would love another just like her for my next vehicle some day. Regular scheduled maintenance is all she has ever asked for. 🥰 - 5.0

Had the Jeep now for 5 yrs , the only issue is the radio starting to peel in the upper corners which I see is a big issue for these Jeeps as you search online and there is no fix from uconnect or Jeep which is a major flaw. Other than that it is a great truck so far. Just approached 50.000 miles
