Notes from the dealer
Shoppers comparing several SUVs will find the Outback best suits active families, commuters, and outdoor enthusiasts who need a reliable, proven vehicle with year-round capability. Its spacious interior, advanced EyeSight safety tech, and luxury touches like a Harman Kardon audio system cater to those seeking both utility and refinement in daily driving or weekend getaways.
While competitors like the Honda CR-V offer efficient powertrains, the Outback's 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with CVT delivers a balance of strong acceleration, dependable AWD traction, and highway fuel economy near 33 MPG. Its linear power delivery and responsive paddle shifters make it engaging in city and rural conditions alike, while the suspension absorbs rough roads with confidence.
Safety is a clear strength for this SUV, as advanced features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, pre-collision braking, blind spot monitoring, and a rearview camera are standard or bundled in accessible packages. While some rivals reserve such tech for higher trims, the Outback makes comprehensive safety accessible, and its 2015 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award confirms its commitment.
Equipped with the Moonroof, Keyless Access, Navigation, and EyeSight packages, the Outback Limited brings premium comfort and technology to the forefront. Highlights include a panoramic moonroof, dual-zone climate control, heated front and rear seats, 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio, memory driverâs seat, and a power liftgateâ"enhancing convenience and enjoyment for all passengers.
Against alternatives like the Toyota RAV4 and Ford Edge, the Outback excels in standard all-wheel drive and higher resale value, backed by ALG and KBB awards. While others may tout more horsepower or a sporty design, this SUVâs reputation for durability, comfort, and advanced safety tech ensures it wins on all-weather confidence and long-term ownership satisfaction.
Choosing the Outback means getting standard AWD, advanced driver aids, and a spacious, upscale cabin that rivals charge extra for. It stands out with best-in-class resale value, proven reliability, and features like heated rear seats and Harman Kardon sound. Buyers gain peace of mind, versatility for all seasons, and long-term savingsâ"making it the best overall value in its class.

Superb Outback
by Outback 2015 on 3/11/2026 3:02:55 PM
As of March 2026 my 2015 has 233,000 miles on it. Still gets 31-37 mpg. Never had an issue that had to be taken in for repair. Bought a tire pump years ago as I did off road engineering. Change oil every 3000 miles myself and change all filters myself. Great travel car! It’s been on many 3000 miles round trips from Fort Wayne, IND to Key West and back. - 4.0

Just wanting to know the value of my 2016 Subaru Outback. It’s in good shape. It’s silver. Drives good. Needs right brake and rotors placed.
