An alignment is needed when uneven tire wear is identified. This is a sure sign the vehicle’s suspension needs to be adjusted. During an alignment the structure connecting the vehicle to its wheels (suspension) is straightened. After the vehicle is aligned, the wheels are straight with the tires in the center of the wheel wells. While you drive away the tire angles are now in their original position as they carry you down the road, allowing optimal vehicle performance.
