Equipped with a 3.0L EcoBoost V6 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission, the Explorer ST delivers smooth, confident acceleration even with a full cabin. Its 4WD drivetrain provides valuable traction in inclement weather, making it well-suited for family road trips or navigating snowy school mornings. With an EPA-estimated 18 city and 25 highway MPG, it balances robust performance with reasonable efficiency for everyday commutes and vacations alike.
Active safety features take center stage in the Explorer, supporting parentsâ peace of mind when transporting children and teens. This SUV comes with blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera system for enhanced visibility in traffic and parking lots. Dual front, side, knee, and overhead airbags, plus a rear-seat reminder and ABS, help protect every passenger by design.
The Explorer STâs equipment group includes navigation, a moonroof, heated and ventilated Miko Sport captainâs chairs, dual zone climate control, and a heated steering wheel for year-round comfort. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration make it easy to manage calls and entertainment on the go, while the B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen and 10 speakers deliver high-quality audio for the whole family. Intelligent cruise control and rain-sensing wipers ensure convenience and safety in changing conditions.
Compared to other family SUVs like the Chevrolet Traverse and Honda Pilot, the Explorer ST excels with its combination of 4WD capability, sporty EcoBoost V6 power, and comprehensive active safety equipment. Its flexible seating configuration and premium comfort features set it apart, making it especially appealing to families seeking both utility and a refined driving environment for everyday and long-distance journeys.

So far so good - smooth ride - plenty of power for a 2.3 liter 4 cyl which coming from someone who drove a 5.0 V8 for 20 yrs- much better on gas - 4.0
Served our family well!

Trading my car in next week, I am gonna miss my Explorer. It’s been a good family car. Draw backs: the screen is glitchy at times. Some electronics malfunctioned and I won’t lie, they can be costly to fix. Comfortable, spacious. I never had any mechanical problems with the car, but I did take very good care of it at well. I maintained all recommended services and any replacements were all genuine Ford parts. I hope whoever buys our car, loves it as much as we did.
