Dealer Notes
The 2026 Ford Maverick XLT AWD stands out as a value leader by bundling desirable featuresâ"AWD, EcoBoost turbo power, and advanced connectivityâ"at a price where competitors often charge extra. With the XLT Luxury Package, 4K Tow Package, and SYNC 4 911 Assist all standard, buyers receive a robust suite of equipment without needing to upgrade trims or add costly options.
Analytical buyers looking to maximize value will appreciate how this truck targets practical needs. Standard AWD, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, SiriusXM with 360L, and a 5G modem provide a tech-forward experience for daily use. The XLT trimâs inclusion of both comfort-oriented features and work-ready packages means it suits those who compare spec sheets closely and want no-nonsense utility.
Delivering a compelling power-to-price ratio, the Maverickâs 2.0L EcoBoost I4 turbo engine and 8-speed automatic transmission produce efficient, responsive performance. With 22 city/30 highway mpg and a standard 4K Tow Package, it balances fuel savings with work capability. Maintenance costs remain low due to the proven powertrain, enhancing long-term value for budget-conscious owners.
Safety value is maximized by making Ford Co-Pilot360 standard, including lane-keeping, auto high-beams, emergency braking, and a rearview cameraâ"all without upcharges. The SUVâs full complement of airbags, ABS, and electronic stability control are included at no additional cost, while rivals often reserve such tech for upper trims or paid options packages.
Equipment Group 302A, XLT Luxury Package, and 4K Tow Package deliver comfort and function: power moonroof, automatic climate control, alloy wheels, remote keyless entry, and 12-speaker premium audio are standard. The Ford Connectivity Package includes a 5G modem for always-on access. These features cover needs from entertainment to towing, all as baseline equipment on this trim.
Compared to the Hyundai Santa Cruz and Honda Ridgeline, the Maverick XLTâs standard AWD, turbo engine, and robust towing features come at a friendlier entry point. While rivals often require step-up trims or add-ons for similar functionality, this truck includes key tech and safety features as standard, reinforcing its high-value positioning in the compact truck segment.
Standard equipment covers most needs: AWD, advanced infotainment, safety tech, and towing. The XLT trim is the value sweet spotâ"luxury features and work capability bundled together. Unlike Santa Cruz or Ridgeline, items like the 4K Tow Package and Co-Pilot360 are included. This model is especially worth it for buyers seeking the fullest feature set for their money.

A solid choice
By Jdav | on Sunday, January 29, 2023
I’ve had my Lariat for 6 months now and I am happy with it. Although the entry models are very well priced for a brand new vehicle, I chose the Lariat without any upgrade packages as the XL & XLT do not have the current “luxuries” that most would consider standard in a new vehicle. (Push start, dash screen, “leather” seats) The Maverick is the perfect vehicle to suit work and everyday life without breaking the bank. Pros: well priced, well designed interior with ample storage, good on gas, comfortable seats, strong engine, great handling and overall feel without the overbearing ride and size of a truck. Cons: engine auto stop/start cannot be permanently disengaged, sync/bluetooth system can be glitchy on occasion, wind noise at highway speed is noticeable, adding extras to your build can get very pricey.… - 5.0
If you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90's
By Maverick Guy | on Friday, September 30, 2022
It took me a year, but this past summer my Ford Maverick finally came in. I got the XLT trim with only 2 options, the Blind Spot and the 2.0 Eco Boost engine for more power. So far, it has been a great truck. If I watch my rpm.s, in the econ mode I get 30 mpg around town and on the hwy. The only issue so far is a clicking type rattle in my dash that only happens on certain slow bumps in my neighborhood, once I am on the highway it goes away. Strange. Anyway, if you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90s, this truck reminds me of a 1996 Ranger I used to have back then. It is a very solid truck, loads of room in the cabin, great bed to work with, and since it is front wheel drive I am looking fwd to seeing how it does in the snow this winter. If you order one, get the Lariat, for a few thousand more it is worth it. Hope this review helps ! PS, I was thinking of ordering a 2023 Ford Bronco 2 door, but when I sat in one at a local car show, I realized my Maverick was much more roomier and comfortable than the full size Bronco. I will stick with my Maverick !… - 5.0
2 Maverick Family

Reviewed my 22 lariat AWD last year when I’d had it for 2 days gave it a 4 star after owning it 18 months and 29K miles I’d raise my satisfaction rate to 4.7 stars. Great milage averaging 33mpg. Like it so much bought the wife a slightly used 23 lariat hybrid. Like it even better than the AWD after 4K and 1 month ownership averaging 46mpg that’s 75% highway. Pros: mileage on either hybrid or AWD model, ride is not too bad, fells planted to road, adaptive cruise/ lane keep/ aeb braking. Easy to park Cons: no power passenger seat, no fog lights, door pockets are worthless can’t keep travel mug or bottled water in as they won’t fit, ice scraper falls out every time open or close door. no auto dimming rear view mirror, bed leaks with installed cover, not enough room to adjust power seat with door closed. If Ford would fix a few minor things they’d have the perfect truck.…
