Dealer Notes
The 2025 Ford Maverick XLT AWD in White Metallic is designed for drivers who want pickup utility in a compact, efficient form. This four-door crew cab combines the turbocharged 2.0L EcoBoost engine with an 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, delivering confident traction, responsive acceleration, and everyday usability that fits commuting, weekend projects, and light-duty work without excess size.
This Maverick XLT is well suited for buyers who balance daily driving with practical needs. It appeals to those who want easier parking and maneuverability than a full-size truck while still gaining a usable bed and rear-seat space for passengers. The XLT trim targets drivers who value added comfort, upgraded interior materials, and technology that supports frequent, real-world use.
Power is provided by Fords 2.0L EcoBoost four-cylinder, offering strong low-end torque and smooth highway performance. The AWD system improves stability in rain, snow, and mixed road conditions, while the 8-speed automatic adapts efficiently to changing speeds and loads. With EPA-estimated 22 city and 30 highway mpg, this drivetrain is recognized for manageable maintenance demands when serviced on schedule.
Safety assistance comes from Ford Co-Pilot360 1.0, which uses cameras and sensors to support driver awareness. Automatic emergency braking helps reduce collision severity, blind spot monitoring assists during lane changes, and lane-keeping support encourages steady tracking on longer drives. Auto high-beam headlights improve nighttime visibility, and available crash-test data allows informed safety comparisons.
Equipment Group 302A and the XLT Luxury Package focus on everyday comfort and convenience. Automatic climate control helps maintain cabin comfort in changing weather, while upgraded seating materials improve long-drive support. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto simplify access to navigation and media, and the rearview camera aids visibility when backing into tight spaces or aligning cargo loads.
Within the compact pickup segment, the Maverick competes with the Hyundai Santa Cruz and smaller configurations of the Toyota Tacoma. Compared to Santa Cruz, Maverick emphasizes traditional truck flexibility and efficiency, while offering easier urban usability than Tacoma. Its combination of fuel economy, interior space, and available AWD makes it a practical alternative for diverse driving needs.
Common questions focus on trim differences and capability. The XLT adds interior upgrades and convenience features beyond the base model. Ford Co-Pilot360 assists with awareness rather than replacing driver control. The AWD system improves traction rather than increasing towing limits, and the crew cab layout balances rear-seat comfort with flexible bed utility.

A solid choice
By Jdav | on Sunday, January 29, 2023
I’ve had my Lariat for 6 months now and I am happy with it. Although the entry models are very well priced for a brand new vehicle, I chose the Lariat without any upgrade packages as the XL & XLT do not have the current “luxuries” that most would consider standard in a new vehicle. (Push start, dash screen, “leather” seats) The Maverick is the perfect vehicle to suit work and everyday life without breaking the bank. Pros: well priced, well designed interior with ample storage, good on gas, comfortable seats, strong engine, great handling and overall feel without the overbearing ride and size of a truck. Cons: engine auto stop/start cannot be permanently disengaged, sync/bluetooth system can be glitchy on occasion, wind noise at highway speed is noticeable, adding extras to your build can get very pricey.… - 5.0
If you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90's
By Maverick Guy | on Friday, September 30, 2022
It took me a year, but this past summer my Ford Maverick finally came in. I got the XLT trim with only 2 options, the Blind Spot and the 2.0 Eco Boost engine for more power. So far, it has been a great truck. If I watch my rpm.s, in the econ mode I get 30 mpg around town and on the hwy. The only issue so far is a clicking type rattle in my dash that only happens on certain slow bumps in my neighborhood, once I am on the highway it goes away. Strange. Anyway, if you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90s, this truck reminds me of a 1996 Ranger I used to have back then. It is a very solid truck, loads of room in the cabin, great bed to work with, and since it is front wheel drive I am looking fwd to seeing how it does in the snow this winter. If you order one, get the Lariat, for a few thousand more it is worth it. Hope this review helps ! PS, I was thinking of ordering a 2023 Ford Bronco 2 door, but when I sat in one at a local car show, I realized my Maverick was much more roomier and comfortable than the full size Bronco. I will stick with my Maverick !… - 5.0

Reviewed my 22 lariat AWD last year when I’d had it for 2 days gave it a 4 star after owning it 18 months and 29K miles I’d raise my satisfaction rate to 4.7 stars. Great milage averaging 33mpg. Like it so much bought the wife a slightly used 23 lariat hybrid. Like it even better than the AWD after 4K and 1 month ownership averaging 46mpg that’s 75% highway. Pros: mileage on either hybrid or AWD model, ride is not too bad, fells planted to road, adaptive cruise/ lane keep/ aeb braking. Easy to park Cons: no power passenger seat, no fog lights, door pockets are worthless can’t keep travel mug or bottled water in as they won’t fit, ice scraper falls out every time open or close door. no auto dimming rear view mirror, bed leaks with installed cover, not enough room to adjust power seat with door closed. If Ford would fix a few minor things they’d have the perfect truck.…
