Cedar Rapids is Iowa's second largest city with just under 130,000 residents. In 1930 Grant Wood painted The American Gothic in his studio located in Cedar Rapids. The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art now owns Grant Wood's studio which is the home to the largest collection of Grant Wood's work in the world. Cedar Rapids, IA was ranked No. 1 in Iowa for the "Top 100 Best Places to Live" list by Livability.com, and came in 29th in the nation.
