Notes from the dealer
Pragmatic buyers seeking an SUV that balances durability and premium amenities will appreciate the Blazer RS. The perforated leather-appointed seat trim, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic temperature control make it ideal for families and professionals who prioritize both comfort and resilience, especially when Midwest winters demand confidence on the road.
Performance is anchored by a 3.6L V6 SIDI engine and a 9-speed automatic with overdrive, a combination known for its longevity and minimal service interruptions. The all-wheel-drive system and four-wheel independent suspension are built to handle regular commutes, family vacations, and unexpected road conditions, all while maintaining a reputation for 150,000-plus mile durability.
Safety contributes directly to ownership value through equipment like the Driver Confidence II Package, which includes active technologies to help avoid accidents and protect your investment. Features such as ABS brakes, electronic stability control, a comprehensive airbag suite, and OnStar emergency communications provide peace of mind for years, safeguarding both passengers and the vehicleâs long-term worth.
The Blazer RS includes the Enhanced Convenience Package, Power Panoramic Tilt-Sliding Sunroof, Bose Premium 8-Speaker Audio System, and Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Functional upgrades like heated steering wheel, power liftgate, and split folding rear seat ensure daily tasks and road trips are easier and more enjoyable.
Compared to other midsize SUVs such as the Ford Edge and Honda Passport, the Blazer stands out for its blend of performance and feature content. With a strong V6 and robust AWD, it typically depreciates less than rivals with smaller engines or fewer amenities. The combination of proven mechanicals and upscale interior features ensures ownership costs remain predictable and manageable.
How often does this SUV require oil changes or service? The Blazerâs V6 and modern transmission are engineered for extended intervals, typically requiring fewer visits to the shop. Whatâs the fuel economy? While specific figures are not listed, V6 AWD SUVs are recognized for stable efficiency across city and highway driving. Is Chevrolet reliable long-term? The Blazer lineage is known for mechanical durability and high resale, while warranty coverage protects major components. Whatâs included in the warranty? Factory coverage addresses key systems for several years, further reducing unexpected expenses.

I've only had my 2022 Blazer a week but I look forward to driving it every chance I get! It's loaded with every feature I was looking for and more. Mine has the 3.6 engine and it has definitely has some get up and go and handles like a dream.
