Notes from the dealer
This SUV is an excellent fit for buyers researching a versatile crossover suitable for changing weather, family errands, and longer trips. The all-wheel drive system is especially valuable for drivers in regions with colder climates or variable road conditions, such as those found in and around Sw Mt Vernon, IA. With dual-zone climate control and heated front seats, the Equinox LT ensures comfort for both driver and passengers across seasons. Its non-smoker history adds peace of mind for those sensitive to interior air quality, and the inclusion of a power liftgate makes loading groceries, luggage, or sports equipment more convenient for busy households.
Daily driving in the Equinox LT is defined by its responsive 1.5L DOHC engine paired with a 6-speed automatic electronic transmission that delivers smooth gear changes. The AWD system provides added confidence when roads become slippery or unpredictable. The SUV's four-wheel independent suspension and speed-sensing steering contribute to composed handling, while features like automatic temperature control and premium cloth seat trim enhance the overall ride experience. Whether commuting or navigating weekend getaways, the Equinox strikes a balance between efficient power delivery and everyday practicality.
Safety in this Equinox is enhanced by a comprehensive suite of active technologies designed for real-world protection. Lane Departure Warning helps prevent unintentional drifting on highways, while Blind Spot Monitoring makes lane changes safer by alerting the driver to vehicles in adjacent lanes. The rear camera adds visibility for reversing or parking, reducing the risk of unseen obstacles. Additional features like ABS brakes, electronic stability control, multiple airbags, and automatic high-beam headlights work together to maintain control and visibility in dynamic driving situations.
Key features on the LT trim include heated driver and front passenger seats, dual-zone climate control, a power driver's seat with 2-way lumbar support, and Chevrolet Infotainment 3 with premium audio and SiriusXM radio. The power liftgate simplifies access to the cargo area, and remote keyless entry adds day-to-day convenience. With split folding rear seats and a rear seat center armrest, the SUV prioritizes passenger comfort and cargo flexibility. The Preferred Equipment Group 1LT bundles these amenities, making the Equinox LT well-equipped for modern family life.
Compared to segment rivals like the Ford Escape and Honda CR-V, the Equinox LT stands out for its combination of heated seats, standard power liftgate, and an intuitive infotainment system. Its AWD system is particularly advantageous for buyers seeking extra assurance in challenging conditions.
Researchers often ask about the core features, daily driving performance, safety systems, and what to expect before a test drive. The Equinox LT delivers on these fronts with heated seats, a power driver's seat, and a user-friendly infotainment system for comfort and connectivity.

Mercedes eater in a pinch.

I've the 2019 2.0 9 speed AWD Equinox Premier. Going on 8 years now and 37k miles. Not 1 problem. Knock on wood! Performance and reliability are 100%, add no fluids other than regular oil and filters at required intervals. Great mileage, have regular gas at 28 in town, and up to 40 on the highway. Rides and drives great with my Perelli tires. I'm used to a truck for space/comfort so I feel a little cramped but no biggie. These smaller vehicles ALL of them have the rear wheels so far back they sure keep the back end and rear glass dirty, that sucks, and is my only complaint. Even with mud flaps😏
