Notes from the dealer
Analytical shoppers comparing spec sheets will find the Equinox LT's standard feature set compelling, especially for those living in areas with varying weather like Eastern Iowa. Its AWD system enhances year-round confidence, while the heated seats and power driver's seat add comfort without requiring an upgrade. The inclusion of safety and infotainment packages at this trim level means buyers don't have to compromise on convenience or technology. Those who prioritize getting the most equipment for their investment will appreciate how the Equinox LT stands out in a crowded segment.
This SUV balances performance and economy with its 1.5L DOHC engine and 6-speed automatic electronic transmission, maximizing efficiency and reliability at a competitive price point. With an EPA rating of 24 mpg city and 30 mpg highway, it offers notable fuel savings over the long run. Maintenance costs are kept in check thanks to proven engineering and accessible service intervals, ensuring that owners benefit from both low operating expenses and a responsive driving experience. For budget-focused buyers, this powertrain delivers solid everyday capability without inflating costs.
Safety is a standout value proposition on the Equinox LT, with standard features like the Advanced Safety Package, four-wheel disc brakes, ABS, and electronic stability control included at no extra charge. Dual front and side impact airbags, a rearview camera, and automatic high-beam headlights provide peace of mind from the start. While rivals may require additional packages for similar safety technology, all of these features are integrated as standard here, making the Equinox a smart pick for safety-conscious families or commuters.
The LT trim level is well-equipped with the Preferred Equipment Group 1LT, Safety & Infotainment Package, power driver seat with lumbar support, power liftgate, rear window defroster, SiriusXM radio, and the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system. Heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control enhance everyday comfort, while remote keyless entry and a premium audio system simplify daily routines. These features, combined with the black premium cloth interior and Sterling Gray Metallic exterior, deliver tangible comfort and tech benefits.
Against the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V, the Equinox LT stacks up favorably in terms of standard equipment and price efficiency. While competitors often charge extra for heated seats, power liftgates, or advanced infotainment systems, the Equinox includes these as standard at this trim. The AWD system and comprehensive feature list reinforce its position as a high-value option for those who want the most features without moving to a top-tier trim or paying for upgrades.
What standard equipment comes with the Equinox LT? Heated front seats, AWD, a power liftgate, and Chevrolet Infotainment 3 are all included. Is the LT trim worth the price? Yes, because it provides comfort, convenience, and safety features that usually cost extra on rivals. Which trim offers the best value? The LT is a sweet spot, balancing luxury and affordability.
