2024 Chevrolet Equinox LT
Notes from the dealer
This SUV is especially well-suited for families, commuters, or anyone valuing a balance of active safety technologies, connectivity, and daily usability. The inclusion of heated front seats, a power liftgate, and dual zone climate control supports everyday convenience, whether managing winter weather or carrying gear. With its AWD system, the Equinox adapts well for drivers in regions that experience snow and rain, such as Sw Mt Vernon, IA, ensuring reliable traction across seasons.
Performance in the Equinox LT comes from a 1.5L DOHC engine paired with a 6-speed automatic electronic transmission with overdrive. This combination is engineered for smooth acceleration and responsive power delivery in city and highway settings. The all-wheel drive chassis and four-wheel independent suspension contribute to composed handling and a comfortable ride, supporting confident cornering and stability on a variety of road surfaces.
Safety is addressed through a robust set of active and passive features. Lane Keep Assist helps gently steer the SUV back within lane markings, reducing unintentional drift. Blind Spot Monitoring alerts the driver to vehicles in adjacent lanes, especially useful during highway merges. The rear camera enhances parking and low-speed maneuvering, while ABS brakes, Electronic Stability Control, and multiple airbags provide foundational protection in emergency situations.
Key features in this Equinox LT include a Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System with AM/FM radio and SiriusXM, steering wheel mounted audio controls, and premium cloth seat trim that enhances comfort for all passengers. The power liftgate simplifies loading cargo, and heated mirrors improve visibility during cold weather. Dual zone automatic temperature control ensures both driver and front passenger can set their preferred climate, while remote keyless entry and a security system add to daily convenience.
Against segment rivals like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, the Equinox delivers a competitive mix of technology and driver-assist features, with the advantage of a user-friendly infotainment system and supportive heated front seats. The AWD capability and active safety systems make it appealing for buyers prioritizing year-round confidence and comfort, especially in climates where weather changes quickly.
Shoppers often ask about the SUVâs seat comfort, which is addressed by power-adjustable driver seating and lumbar support, enhancing long-distance drive comfort. The Infotainment 3 system supports connectivity for music and calls, while the split folding rear seat expands cargo capacity for trips or daily errands. Safety features like Lane Keep Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring function automatically, reducing the driverâs workload. Before a test drive, know this vehicle may be off-site as a service loaner, so scheduling in advance is recommended.

Mercedes eater in a pinch.

I've the 2019 2.0 9 speed AWD Equinox Premier. Going on 8 years now and 37k miles. Not 1 problem. Knock on wood! Performance and reliability are 100%, add no fluids other than regular oil and filters at required intervals. Great mileage, have regular gas at 28 in town, and up to 40 on the highway. Rides and drives great with my Perelli tires. I'm used to a truck for space/comfort so I feel a little cramped but no biggie. These smaller vehicles ALL of them have the rear wheels so far back they sure keep the back end and rear glass dirty, that sucks, and is my only complaint. Even with mud flaps😏
