2023 Ford Edge SEL

Notes from the dealer
Buyers researching a versatile SUV for daily commuting, family trips, or unpredictable Midwest weather will find practical advantages in the Edge SEL. Its AWD system enhances confidence on slick or snowy roads, while heated seats and a heated steering wheel provide comfort during colder months. The dual-zone climate control ensures both front occupants can tailor their environment, and the ample interior space is well-suited for both passengers and cargoâ"a benefit for active households in regions like eastern Iowa.
Daily driving in this SUV is defined by a balance of turbocharged efficiency and smooth transmission response. The EcoBoost 2.0L I4 engine delivers brisk acceleration for merging or passing, while the 8-speed automatic shifts quietly and adapts well to changing driving conditions. EPA ratings of 21 city and 28 highway MPG mean fewer stops at the pump, benefiting both commuters and road-trippers. The Edgeâs AWD system further supports confident handling when weather or terrain changes unexpectedly.
Safety is a highlight, with active systems designed to support driver awareness and minimize risk. Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist help prevent unintentional drifting across lanes, providing gentle steering corrections if needed. Blind Spot Monitoring actively alerts the driver to vehicles in adjacent lanes, reducing the chance of side collisions during lane changes. Additionally, a rear camera and Rear Parking Sensors make backing up and parking less stressful, especially in tight or crowded areas.
Key features include leather interior surfaces that enhance comfort and style, ActiveX Heated Bucket Seats for warmth, and a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel for premium feel even on cold mornings. The Convenience Package and Equipment Group 201A add thoughtful amenities, while SYNC 4 with 911 Assist enables emergency communication. The audio experience is elevated with a 12-speaker system, and the AM/FM radio: SiriusXM with 360L provides extensive entertainment options. Power-adjustable front seats help customize comfort for both driver and passenger.
Compared to other midsize SUVs like the Chevrolet Blazer and Honda Passport, the Edge SEL stands out for its combination of advanced safety tech and interior refinement. While the Blazer offers sporty styling and the Passport emphasizes off-road capability, this SUVâs blend of AWD, heated features, and user-friendly technology makes it particularly appealing to those seeking a balanced daily driver with strong all-season usability.
What are the key features of this vehicle? The Edge SEL includes AWD, heated seats, heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, leather interior, SYNC 4 with emergency assist, and advanced safety systems. How does it perform in daily driving? The turbocharged engine and responsive transmission deliver efficient, confident performance for commuting and family travel.

Best Auto in My 64 Years of Owning cars

I love my edge! I bought this car in the end of 2018 and have owed it for over 6 years. NO repairs needed. I am so happy not to have had it tied up for repairs as I am a REALTOR and drive part of every day. The only thing I have had done have been service. Keeping up with oil changes is so necessary. Oh, and I did replace the tires once. - 5.0
