Notes from the dealer
Analytical buyers who compare spec sheets will appreciate that this SUV delivers essential comfort and tech features as standard, minimizing hidden costs. Those living in regions with unpredictable weather, like Sw Mt Vernon, IA, will find the all-wheel drive system and heated amenities particularly valuable for daily commuting and winter driving. The Edge SELâs verified single-owner, non-smoker status further enhances its appeal to buyers who prioritize long-term reliability and clean vehicle history on their spreadsheets.
Performance meets value with the EcoBoost 2.0L I4 GTDi DOHC Turbocharged VCT engine paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This delivers responsive acceleration suitable for daily driving and highway cruising, while the all-wheel drive system adds confidence in all conditions. Compared to rivals at this price point, the Edge SEL provides a balanced blend of power and efficiency, making it a cost-effective choice for buyers who weigh performance against ongoing fuel and maintenance expenses over the vehicleâs lifespan.
When it comes to safety value, this coupe includes advanced standard safety features like Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, ABS brakes, a rear camera, and Rear Parking Sensors. Unlike some competitors that require optional packages for similar technology, these features are built-in. Electronic Stability Control, dual front and side impact airbags, a knee airbag, and SYNC 4 911 Assist emergency communication system further contribute to a robust safety package without additional costs.
The Convenience Package and Equipment Group 201A add practical amenities: a power driver and passenger seat, remote keyless entry, automatic temperature control, and a 12-speaker audio system with SiriusXM. Comfort features such as ActiveX trimmed heated bucket seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel enhance everyday usability. Together, these packages mean more included features per dollarâ"owners benefit from technology and comfort that often require an upgrade on competing sports coupes.
Against the Chevrolet Blazer and Nissan Murano, the Edge SELâs standard AWD, heated interior, and advanced safety tech all come included, while competitors often reserve similar features for higher trims or paid packages. This SUVâs one-owner, non-smoker pedigree also ensures a lower risk of hidden costs over time. Buyers seeking maximum value at acquisition and reduced future expenses will find the Edge SEL delivers where others charge extra.
Standard equipment includes AWD, heated front seats, leather interior, a 12-speaker audio system, blind spot monitoring, and a power liftgate. This vehicle is worth the price for buyers focused on feature-to-dollar ratio, especially in the SEL trim, which offers the best balance of included technology and comfort. What sets it apart is that many rivals would require moving up to a higher trim or adding expensive packages to match this feature content.

Best Auto in My 64 Years of Owning cars

I love my edge! I bought this car in the end of 2018 and have owed it for over 6 years. NO repairs needed. I am so happy not to have had it tied up for repairs as I am a REALTOR and drive part of every day. The only thing I have had done have been service. Keeping up with oil changes is so necessary. Oh, and I did replace the tires once. - 5.0
