Notes from the dealer
SUV shoppers comparing several models will find that the Edge SEL is tailored for buyers who need versatility, comfort, and security in their daily commutes or family outings. With a non-smoker, one-owner history, it offers additional peace of mind for those valuing a clean, well-kept vehicle. The Ebony interior with ActiveX-trimmed heated bucket seats provides upscale comfort, ideal for unpredictable Midwest weather or long road trips. Buyers prioritizing modern conveniences such as a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and hands-free connectivity will find this SUV delivers them as standard, making it a standout choice for families and professionals alike.
Performance in the Edge SEL focuses on smooth power delivery and all-weather confidence, thanks to its EcoBoost 2.0L I4 GTDi DOHC Turbocharged VCT engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and AWD. While competitors like the Chevrolet Blazer may offer similar powertrains, this SUV delivers turbocharged efficiency and seamless shifting, translating to 21 city and 28 highway MPG. The AWD system enhances traction on wet or snowy roads, and the Edgeâs composed ride quality ensures comfort on long drives. This performance balance makes it equally at home navigating city streets or handling highway travel with ease.
Safety equipment on the Edge SEL is robust, offering standard active systems that competitors often reserve for higher trims or option packages. Features like Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and a Rear Camera are all included, enhancing driver awareness without additional cost. Reverse Sensing and Rear Parking Sensors provide extra assistance in crowded parking lots, while ABS brakes and Electronic Stability Control further contribute to secure daily driving. The inclusion of these technologies as standard is a clear advantage over rivals that may require buyers to pay more for such comprehensive safety coverage.
Feature content is a major strength for this SUV. The Edge SEL includes the Convenience Package, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, power liftgate, dual-zone climate control, and SYNC 4 911 Assist emergency communicationâ"all as part of its Equipment Group 201A. The 12-speaker audio system with SiriusXM 360L, power driver and passenger seats, and leather-wrapped steering wheel enhance the in-cabin experience. These features are often optional or available only in premium trims on competing models. The inclusion of these amenities means drivers get maximum comfort and convenience without the need to step up to a higher-priced variant.
When considering value and competition, the Edge SEL separates itself from the Honda Passport and Chevrolet Blazer by offering a strong mix of reliability, low-mileage ownership, and a well-equipped interior at a competitive price point.
Why choose the Edge SEL over competitors? This SUV provides standard AWD, heated seats, and advanced safety features without requiring extra-cost packages. What does it offer that others donât? The one-owner, non-smoker history and low mileage ensure a cleaner, more trustworthy ownership experience.

Best Auto in My 64 Years of Owning cars

I love my edge! I bought this car in the end of 2018 and have owed it for over 6 years. NO repairs needed. I am so happy not to have had it tied up for repairs as I am a REALTOR and drive part of every day. The only thing I have had done have been service. Keeping up with oil changes is so necessary. Oh, and I did replace the tires once. - 5.0

Just sold it for $15500. Sure glad I don’t have to depend on KBB, NADA, etc. Every body needs to go to www.shoeboxbooksandpublishing.com and buy this book “Buying A New ( or Used) Car, 5 Things Dealers Don’t Want You To Know “!
