2024 Ford Edge SEL

Notes from the dealer
Analytical buyers seeking transparent value will appreciate how the Edge SEL bundles comfort, technology, and safety features without inflating the price with unnecessary add-ons. Dual-zone automatic climate control, a power liftgate, and a heated steering wheel cater to those who analyze equipment lists closely. The inclusion of a 12-speaker premium audio system and wireless charging pad further boosts the modelâs cost-efficiency, making this SUV an especially prudent choice for shoppers who compare spec sheets line by line.
Performance in the Edge SEL is driven by a 2.0L EcoBoost turbocharged I4 engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and intelligent all-wheel drive. This configuration delivers a strong balance of power and efficiency for its class, producing robust acceleration while maintaining competitive fuel economy. Maintenance costs remain low due to the proven reliability of the EcoBoost platform, and the standard Class II Trailer Tow Package adds utility without requiring an expensive upgrade, maximizing power-to-price ratio.
Safety comes standard on the Edge SEL, with advanced features such as Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, a rearview camera, and Rear Parking Sensors included at no additional cost. Unlike many rivals, these technologies are not part of an optional package, ensuring high-value safety straight from the factory. The inclusion of ABS, multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and automatic high-beam headlights further solidifies the SUVâs comprehensive approach to standard safety.
This SUVâs Equipment Group 201A and Convenience Package deliver tangible benefits such as remote start, a universal garage door opener, power driver and passenger seats, and a hands-free power liftgate. The inclusion of a 110V/150W AC power outlet and SYNC 4 with SiriusXM and 360L integration enhances both connectivity and usability. These features, commonly reserved for higher trims or costly add-ons in other models, reinforce the Edge SELâs high-value proposition for informed buyers.
When compared to the Honda Passport EX-L and Chevrolet Blazer 2LT, the Edge SEL sets itself apart by including heated front seats, a power liftgate, and a premium audio system as standard, while both competitors typically charge extra for these features. This SUVâs combination of equipment, standard AWD, and advanced driver aids creates a stronger feature-to-price ratio, making it a standout for those prioritizing value without sacrificing content.
Standard equipment on the Edge SEL includes heated ActiveX seats, dual-zone climate control, blind spot monitoring, a 12-speaker audio system, wireless charging, and AWD. Is it worth the price? Value is strong thanks to the inclusion of comfort and safety features that are often optional elsewhere.

Best Auto in My 64 Years of Owning cars

I love my edge! I bought this car in the end of 2018 and have owed it for over 6 years. NO repairs needed. I am so happy not to have had it tied up for repairs as I am a REALTOR and drive part of every day. The only thing I have had done have been service. Keeping up with oil changes is so necessary. Oh, and I did replace the tires once. - 5.0
