Pragmatic buyers prioritizing reliability, ease of ownership, and long-lasting comfort will find the Edge Titanium particularly well-suited to their needs. Its AWD system and turbocharged engine provide confidence in all weather conditions, while features like heated leather seats, dual-zone climate control, memory settings, and hands-free power liftgate enhance daily usability. The modelâs reputation for dependability ensures a worry-free experience.
A proven powertrain underpins this truck, featuring the EcoBoost 2.0L I4 GTDi DOHC Turbocharged VCT engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This setup delivers a balance of responsive power and efficiency, designed for a 150,000+ mile lifespan with routine care. Owners report smooth shifting and consistent performance, while the AWD system ensures traction and stability for a variety of driving needs, from commuting to light towing.
Long-term value is enhanced by a suite of active safety features like Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and a rearview camera. These systems work together to help prevent accidents and reduce repair costs over time. The inclusion of ABS brakes, electronic stability control, knee airbags, and emergency communication technology further protects your investment and keeps insurance costs predictable.
The Titanium trim maximizes comfort and convenience with its ActiveX-trimmed heated sport bucket seats, heated steering wheel, premium B&O audio system, and hands-free power liftgate. Dual-zone automatic climate control, memory driver settings, and remote keyless entry simplify daily life. Rain sensing wipers and automatic high-beam headlights add to ease of use, while the SYNC 4 system delivers seamless connectivity and emergency assistance.
Compared to alternatives like the Chevrolet Blazer and Honda Passport, the Edge Titanium shines in ownership economics. Its maintenance intervals are straightforward, depreciation is slower due to Fordâs proven reliability, and the turbocharged four-cylinder offers a compelling mix of power and longevity. The Edgeâs reputation for holding value outpaces many rivals in the midsize SUV segment.
Typical oil change intervals for this SUV are every 7,500 to 10,000 miles using synthetic oil, with annual servicing covering basic fluids and filters. The EcoBoost engine achieves competitive fuel economy, with estimates around 21 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. Ford is recognized for long-term reliability, and the new vehicle warranty covers 3 years or 36,000 miles bumper-to-bumper, plus 5 years/60,000 miles for the powertrain.

Best Auto in My 64 Years of Owning cars

I love my edge! I bought this car in the end of 2018 and have owed it for over 6 years. NO repairs needed. I am so happy not to have had it tied up for repairs as I am a REALTOR and drive part of every day. The only thing I have had done have been service. Keeping up with oil changes is so necessary. Oh, and I did replace the tires once. - 5.0
