Whether commuting in Iowaâs changing weather or taking a weekend trip, the Edge SELâs digital ecosystem keeps everything within reach without sacrificing comfort or safety.
Driving the Edge SEL feels responsive and tailored thanks to electronic systems that enhance every journey. The EcoBoost 2.0L turbocharged engine pairs with an 8-speed automatic transmission and AWD, delivering confident traction and smooth power delivery. Electronic stability control, selectable drive modes, and a quick-reacting digital throttle translate tech into everyday benefitsâ"whether accelerating onto highways or maneuvering city streets. The turbo engineâs efficiency works in harmony with the Edgeâs digital controls to deliver both performance and fuel economy, achieving 21 mpg city and 28 mpg highway.
Smart safety defines this vehicle, with sensors and cameras working together to actively prevent accidents. Blind Spot Monitoring uses radar to alert you about vehicles in adjacent lanes, while a Rear Camera and Rear Parking Sensors provide visual and audible guidance when reversing. Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist employ digital processing to gently guide the SUV if it detects unintentional drifting. Auto High-beam Headlights automatically adapt to lighting conditions, enhancing night driving confidence by letting sensors manage your visibility needs.
The Edge SELâs tech package centers around the Convenience Package, which brings comforts like a Panoramic Vista Roof, heated steering wheel, and heated ActiveX-trimmed bucket seats for driver and passenger. Dual zone automatic climate control ensures both front occupants stay comfortable, while power-adjustable front seats and a power moonroof add to daily usability. With steering wheel-mounted audio controls, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and advanced SYNC 4 infotainment, this SUV turns every commute into a connected, comfortable experience.
Compared to the Chevrolet Blazer and Honda Passport, the Edge SELâs digital cockpit and SYNC 4 system offer a more intuitive interface and faster smartphone pairing. Its 12-speaker premium audio setup and over-the-air update capability keep the system current, while competitors can lag behind in digital integration. The Edgeâs AWD further enhances its appeal for drivers in climates where traction matters, delivering a blend of connectivity and real-world utility that stands out among midsize SUVs.
Does this SUV offer wireless CarPlay/Android Auto? Yes, the SYNC 4 infotainment system supports seamless smartphone integration for navigation, music, and calls. What driver assistance technology is included? Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and rear sensors provide robust digital safety. How does the infotainment compare to rivals? The Edgeâs system is faster, more responsive, and supports more apps than most competitors.

Best Auto in My 64 Years of Owning cars

I love my edge! I bought this car in the end of 2018 and have owed it for over 6 years. NO repairs needed. I am so happy not to have had it tied up for repairs as I am a REALTOR and drive part of every day. The only thing I have had done have been service. Keeping up with oil changes is so necessary. Oh, and I did replace the tires once. - 5.0

Just sold it for $15500. Sure glad I don’t have to depend on KBB, NADA, etc. Every body needs to go to www.shoeboxbooksandpublishing.com and buy this book “Buying A New ( or Used) Car, 5 Things Dealers Don’t Want You To Know “!
