The 2025 Ford Explorer ST-Line immediately stands out for its exceptional value proposition, offering an extensive list of standard features typically reserved for higher trims or costlier competitors. At this price point, you get leather interior, navigation, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise, and a full suite of driver-assist tech, all included as standard. Its one-owner, non-smoker verified history adds further confidence, making it a smart money choice for value-focused buyers who demand more for every dollar spent.

Analytical buyers comparing spec sheets will quickly notice that this SUV’s Equipment Group 300A Standard Package includes features most others upcharge for, such as a 360 Degree Camera and FordPass Connect 5G. For drivers in the Sw Mt Vernon, IA area seeking a dependable, well-equipped SUV that doesn’t require costly add-ons for comfort or tech, this Explorer’s standard package delivers robust daily usability, especially when factoring in its non-smoker, one-owner provenance.

Performance per dollar is strong with the 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 engine paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission, offering a blend of real-world fuel efficiency and responsive acceleration. This powertrain’s engineering is designed to minimize maintenance costs over time while still delivering the confident driving experience expected from a sports-oriented SUV. The 4WD system included as standard further enhances value for those facing diverse driving conditions, providing all-weather capability without the premium often charged by rivals.

Safety value is a cornerstone of this Explorer, as advanced features like Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and both front and rear cameras come standard. Unlike many competitors that offer such equipment only as part of expensive packages, these technologies are included at no extra cost. Active safety systems such as ABS, Electronic Stability Control, and an emergency communication system (911 Assist) further reinforce safety without additional spend.

The ST-Line trim’s Equipment Group 300A Standard Package is comprehensive, featuring leather interior, heated unique cloth captain’s chairs, navigation, dual-zone climate, adaptive and intelligent cruise, power liftgate, and a high-end B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen. The inclusion of Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, remote keyless entry, and a garage door transmitter means everyday convenience is built-in, while features like performance brakes and red painted calipers add enthusiast appeal without the need for aftermarket upgrades.

When compared to segment rivals like the Chevrolet Traverse RS and Honda Passport TrailSport, the Explorer ST-Line distinguishes itself by including featuresâ€"such as 360-degree cameras, advanced driver safety tech, and navigationâ€"as standard. While competitors often restrict these options to upper trims or optional packages, this SUV delivers a higher feature-to-price ratio, maximizing value without compromising quality or utility.

Standard equipment highlights include heated front seats, navigation, adaptive cruise, and a full suite of cameras. The Explorer ST-Line is worth the price for those prioritizing maximum standard content and minimal out-of-pocket upgrades. The ST-Line trim is the value leader, as many features competitors reserve for top trims come standard here.

So far so good - smooth ride - plenty of power for a 2.3 liter 4 cyl which coming from someone who drove a 5.0 V8 for 20 yrs- much better on gas

      Served our family well!

by Beth on 2/19/2026 11:46:55 PM

Trading my car in next week, I am gonna miss my Explorer. It’s been a good family car. Draw backs: the screen is glitchy at times. Some electronics malfunctioned and I won’t lie, they can be costly to fix. Comfortable, spacious. I never had any mechanical problems with the car, but I did take very good care of it at well. I maintained all recommended services and any replacements were all genuine Ford parts. I hope whoever buys our car, loves it as much as we did.

      2025 Ford Explorer Active, RWD

by Matt on 1/14/2026 12:13:01 PM

Hello everyone! I had this car for about 3 months and I absolutely love it! I love how reliable it is and how quick it can get when it’s needed. The 3rd row is tight, it is a mid-size SUV after all. If you have a bigger family, I would suggest getting a full size SUV. Unfortunately, there are a few issues that I’ve noticed. 1. Sometimes, the car stalls/jerks a little bit when accelerating. It doesn’t happen much. 2. On the infotainment screen, I can’t download or update any apps. It says pending and it keeps spinning over and over again. (it is a computer after all) I have an appointment soon to get these issues fixed but other than that, it’s been amazing. I am so very grateful for this car. It is my first real car I’ve ever had and I’m so lucky to have a choice for once for something I actually want.
