The 2026 Ford Maverick XLT AWD delivers exceptional value by bundling high-demand features as standard, including SYNC 4 with Enhanced Voice Recognition, Ford Co-Pilot360, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and the XLT Luxury Package. At its price point, few compact trucks offer AWD, a turbocharged engine, 4K Tow Package, and a power moonroof as included equipment, making it a standout for buyers seeking maximum features per dollar spent.

Analytical buyers comparing spec sheets will find this truck designed for value-centric decision-making. Standard equipment like a 12-speaker audio system, 5G modem connectivity, SiriusXM with 360L, and advanced safety tech addresses the question "What do I get for my money?" without requiring costly add-ons. The XLT trim, especially with Equipment Group 302A and XLT Luxury Package, delivers an optimal mix of tech, comfort, and utilityâ€"ideal for those who track features and benefits line by line.

Powering the Maverick XLT is a 2.0L EcoBoost I4 turbo delivering robust performance for city and highway driving, paired to an efficient 8-speed automatic. All-wheel drive and the 4K Tow Package expand its versatility, allowing towing up to 4,000 poundsâ€"competitive with pricier rivals. With EPA-rated efficiency of 22/30 mpg city/highway, owners benefit from lower fuel costs over time. Maintenance-friendly design and proven EcoBoost reliability further enhance long-term value.

Safety is a strong suit, with Ford Co-Pilot360 standard: blind spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and auto high-beam headlights. Unlike some rivals that reserve these for premium trims, this truck includes them at no extra charge. Additional standard value comes from a rearview camera, full suite of airbags including knee airbag, and electronic stability control, giving buyers peace of mind without upselling to higher trims.

Feature-rich packages like Equipment Group 302A and the XLT Luxury Package deliver extras that would be costly on alternatives. These include a power moonroof, heated seats, premium audio, automatic temperature control, and remote keyless entry. Tech highlights such as SYNC 4 with voice recognition, 5G modem for internet access, and steering wheel audio controls make daily driving seamless. The 4K Tow Package adds heavy-duty cooling and hitch, turning the Maverick into a versatile workhorse.

Compared to the Hyundai Santa Cruz SEL and Honda Ridgeline Sport, the Maverick XLT packs more standard tech and advanced safety features at a lower entry price. While competitors often charge extra for AWD, advanced driver aids, or towing capability, this truck includes these as standard or in affordable packages, maximizing value for buyers who want more for their money.

Standard equipment includes heated seats, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Co-Pilot360 safety tech, and a power moonroof. The XLT trim offers the best value by combining essential features with luxury upgrades in one package. Many competitors require higher trims or extra-cost packages for similar tech and towing capabilityâ€"here, these are built in. Value-conscious shoppers get more features without hidden costs.

A versatile vehicle! 2023 Mav Tremor

by TremorNV on 11/23/2025 3:02:38 AM

I went with the Tremor trim for more off-road capability. So far there hasn’t been a thing I couldn’t do with this Mav. I’ve gone on long road trips, explored rough trails, loaded lumber, hauled a sectional, towed a side by side with it, driven in Tahoe snow and many other things. First, I’d say it’s actually a fun drive. It really sticks to road and handling it is super easy. Yes, it has a plastic interior and the tech does feel a little outdated but you get what you pay for. It’s a 33k mini truck. I haven’t had any issues. The heated steering wheel is the hottest of any other one I’ve had. It has over gotten stuck on me and the bed is like 6.5 ft long with the tail gate down. Capable of hauling ten foot wood, which I’ve done. The gas mileage on my Tremor (Awd eco boost) is 28-29, which makes me happy. Truthfully, back in 2019 when Ford brought the Ranger back… it should have been this truck. It’s a great little truck, beats the Santa Cruz any day!

      surprises come in smaller packages

by Dptazzz on 11/16/2025 5:40:02 PM

i didnt buy the truck i wanted, i bought the one i needed.. big enough to tow any future toys, small enough to take on long trips, as well as comfortable, and not driving like a bigger pickup.. gas mileage runs 28.8 to 30.2, i can get it a bit higher on long trips. Economy option helps a good deal when cruising for long periods, having the truck run in FWD when its most economical, and not needing the extra traction, is a plus.. the seats are more comfortable than my Cadillac ATS, and they were all leather.. it drives fairly quiet, no, not luxury sedan quiet, but, better than my other 1500 series pickups ive had. bed is big enough for me, i already used it to move from one house to another across town, and towed by trailer behind me, once with my 800lb motorcycle, and didnt really notice it. i drove thru snow and ice heading to missouri, at the end of 2022 ( i got the truck new in April of 2022 ). and I passed a LOT of cars while driving thru slushy snow, snow covered roads, etc, with no real issues. I grew up mainly in Missouri, so snow and ice covered roads, are second nature. A good vehicle with great traction wasnt always underneath me, this truck never made me nervous, and I passed going up hill, passing trucks slowing everyone down, in those nice hills on US 65 out of Arkansas going up into Missouri. Yea.. truck handled it like a champ. i simply have no real complaints, other than a string of modest recalls. which all but the last one have been tended to, and i simply have to have the time to Get to this last one. i would buy this truck again.. I ordered it, bought it without a test drive.. Lariat with tow package.. it simply is a great little truck.

Fun to drive, Sips gas, Infotainment needs a rewri

by AlanC on 11/9/2025 2:27:29 PM

I've enjoyed the truck. Its seats are far more comfortable than those from manufacturers who put in high bolsters and bulging seatbacks. Ride is surprisingly smooth and quiet; better by far than our 2021 Santa Fe. The cruise control's distance-keeping feature needs to allow more following distance, so its practically useless to me. Tailgates will love it. The SYNC3 protocol, which I use for Android Auto, is highly annoying when going among functions. Ford needs to implement a volume control roller on the steering wheel, like recent Hyundais, instead of push-buttons, to make up/down/mute easier to hit by feel. Ford put some neat indentions in the bed to allow for load-separation cross members. The little 4-banger sounds like it struggles with every transition from electric to hybrid, but that's the sad state of Powerplant affairs today. Gas mileage is an eye-opener. I've gotten 50 on some drives, and the average is around 45 in the 1,500 miles I've driven this used 2024. I miss my F150 Supercrew less all the time. This little truck does what I need at this point, didn't break the bank, and is fun to drive.
