Dealer Notes
The 2025 Ford Maverick XLT AWD stands out for smart money buyers by offering standard all-wheel drive, the robust 2.0L EcoBoost turbo engine, and Fordâs Co-Pilot360 safety suite at a price where rivals often charge extra. With the XLT Luxury Package, features like heated seats and premium audio are included, maximizing value without stretching your budget compared to similarly equipped competitors.
Analytical buyers searching for a high-value compact truck will appreciate the Maverick XLTâs blend of standard tech, comfort, and utility. Its full crew cab layout, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and 4K Tow Package mean families, DIYers, and commuters get a versatile daily driver thatâs feature-rich from the base trim up. The included luxury and safety features remove guesswork for those who compare spec sheets closely.
Performance in the Maverick XLT is impressive for its price class, thanks to the 2.0L EcoBoost I4 delivering both brisk acceleration and efficiencyâ"22 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. The 8-speed automatic transmission provides smooth shifting while AWD and the 4K Tow Package offer up to 4,000 lbs towing. Low scheduled maintenance costs and higher fuel savings create a strong power-to-price value versus larger, thirstier trucks.
Standard safety is a major value win in this truck. The Ford Co-Pilot360 1.0 package includes automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assistâ"all included, not costly add-ons as on many rivals. Additional features like a rearview camera, ABS, and multiple airbags further enhance safety without extra expense, making everyday driving secure and cost-effective.
The XLT trim with Equipment Group 302A and XLT Luxury Package brings heated unique cloth front bucket seats, SiriusXM with 360L, 12 speakers, automatic climate control, and a power driver seat. The 17-inch alloy wheels, remote keyless entry, and SYNC 4 with emergency communications are all standard, not upgrades. This comprehensive package covers most buyers' wish lists at no added cost.
Compared to the Hyundai Santa Cruz SEL and Honda Ridgeline Sport, the Maverick XLT gives you AWD, turbocharged performance, and advanced safety tech as standard, while rivals often reserve these for higher trims. The Maverickâs standard towing and superior infotainment at this price point reinforce its leading value, especially for those seeking maximum features per dollar spent.
Standard equipment includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated seats, and Ford Co-Pilot360. This truck is worth the price due to its unmatched feature-to-cost ratio. The XLT trim with the Luxury Package is the top value pick, combining tech, comfort, and safety. Many features, such as advanced driver assists and premium audio, cost extra on rivals but are included here.

A solid choice
By Jdav | on Sunday, January 29, 2023
I’ve had my Lariat for 6 months now and I am happy with it. Although the entry models are very well priced for a brand new vehicle, I chose the Lariat without any upgrade packages as the XL & XLT do not have the current “luxuries” that most would consider standard in a new vehicle. (Push start, dash screen, “leather” seats) The Maverick is the perfect vehicle to suit work and everyday life without breaking the bank. Pros: well priced, well designed interior with ample storage, good on gas, comfortable seats, strong engine, great handling and overall feel without the overbearing ride and size of a truck. Cons: engine auto stop/start cannot be permanently disengaged, sync/bluetooth system can be glitchy on occasion, wind noise at highway speed is noticeable, adding extras to your build can get very pricey.… - 5.0
If you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90's
By Maverick Guy | on Friday, September 30, 2022
It took me a year, but this past summer my Ford Maverick finally came in. I got the XLT trim with only 2 options, the Blind Spot and the 2.0 Eco Boost engine for more power. So far, it has been a great truck. If I watch my rpm.s, in the econ mode I get 30 mpg around town and on the hwy. The only issue so far is a clicking type rattle in my dash that only happens on certain slow bumps in my neighborhood, once I am on the highway it goes away. Strange. Anyway, if you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90s, this truck reminds me of a 1996 Ranger I used to have back then. It is a very solid truck, loads of room in the cabin, great bed to work with, and since it is front wheel drive I am looking fwd to seeing how it does in the snow this winter. If you order one, get the Lariat, for a few thousand more it is worth it. Hope this review helps ! PS, I was thinking of ordering a 2023 Ford Bronco 2 door, but when I sat in one at a local car show, I realized my Maverick was much more roomier and comfortable than the full size Bronco. I will stick with my Maverick !… - 5.0
2 Maverick Family

Reviewed my 22 lariat AWD last year when I’d had it for 2 days gave it a 4 star after owning it 18 months and 29K miles I’d raise my satisfaction rate to 4.7 stars. Great milage averaging 33mpg. Like it so much bought the wife a slightly used 23 lariat hybrid. Like it even better than the AWD after 4K and 1 month ownership averaging 46mpg that’s 75% highway. Pros: mileage on either hybrid or AWD model, ride is not too bad, fells planted to road, adaptive cruise/ lane keep/ aeb braking. Easy to park Cons: no power passenger seat, no fog lights, door pockets are worthless can’t keep travel mug or bottled water in as they won’t fit, ice scraper falls out every time open or close door. no auto dimming rear view mirror, bed leaks with installed cover, not enough room to adjust power seat with door closed. If Ford would fix a few minor things they’d have the perfect truck.…
