Dealer Notes
The 2026 Ford Maverick Lobo High AWD stands out as a value leader by including high-end featuresâ"like heated seats, navigation, and a power moonroofâ"at a price where rivals often charge extra. With standard AWD, a turbocharged engine, and a suite of advanced safety tech, you maximize your investment right from the base equipment level.
Analytical buyers who compare trim levels and spec sheets will appreciate the Maverick Lobo High for its comprehensive standard feature set, advanced connectivity, and robust safety technology. The inclusion of features like SYNC 4 with enhanced voice recognition and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto ensures that buyers seeking maximum utility per dollar get more technology and comfort without upcharges.
This truck delivers excellent performance value with its EcoBoost 2.0L turbocharged I4, offering both strong acceleration and notable efficiency at 21 city/30 highway MPG. The standard AWD and 7-speed automatic transmission provide confident handling and traction. Compared to similarly priced trucks, the Maverickâs power-to-cost ratio and projected low maintenance costs yield substantial savings over time.
Safety value is exceptional, with standard features like Electronic Stability Control, Lane-Keeping System, Intersection Assist, Reverse Brake Assist, and a comprehensive airbag suite included at no extra cost. Many competitors list these as optional. The Maverick also offers a rearview camera, emergency communication system, and Predictive Speed Assist, making active safety accessible without premium packages.
Equipment Group 702A High brings benefits such as dual-zone automatic climate control, power driver seat, SiriusXM with 360L, heated steering wheel, and navigationâ"all included. The 5G modem with Ford Connectivity and fully automatic headlights enhance daily convenience. Alloy wheels, remote keyless entry, and a rear parking sensor package add to the value, reducing the need for costly add-ons.
Against the Hyundai Santa Cruz and Honda Ridgeline, the Maverick Lobo High delivers more standard tech and active safety equipment at a lower entry price. While rivals may require stepping up to higher trims for similar features, the Maverickâs equipment-to-cost ratio and lower projected depreciation reinforce its smart money position in the compact truck segment.
Standard equipment includes heated seats, AWD, SYNC 4, navigation, and a 5G modem. The Maverick is worth the price by bundling features that cost extra on rivals. The Lobo High trim is the value sweet spot, offering advanced safety and connectivity as standardâ"while competitors often reserve these for premium trims or option packages.

A solid choice
By Jdav | on Sunday, January 29, 2023
I’ve had my Lariat for 6 months now and I am happy with it. Although the entry models are very well priced for a brand new vehicle, I chose the Lariat without any upgrade packages as the XL & XLT do not have the current “luxuries” that most would consider standard in a new vehicle. (Push start, dash screen, “leather” seats) The Maverick is the perfect vehicle to suit work and everyday life without breaking the bank. Pros: well priced, well designed interior with ample storage, good on gas, comfortable seats, strong engine, great handling and overall feel without the overbearing ride and size of a truck. Cons: engine auto stop/start cannot be permanently disengaged, sync/bluetooth system can be glitchy on occasion, wind noise at highway speed is noticeable, adding extras to your build can get very pricey.… - 5.0
If you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90's
By Maverick Guy | on Friday, September 30, 2022
It took me a year, but this past summer my Ford Maverick finally came in. I got the XLT trim with only 2 options, the Blind Spot and the 2.0 Eco Boost engine for more power. So far, it has been a great truck. If I watch my rpm.s, in the econ mode I get 30 mpg around town and on the hwy. The only issue so far is a clicking type rattle in my dash that only happens on certain slow bumps in my neighborhood, once I am on the highway it goes away. Strange. Anyway, if you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90s, this truck reminds me of a 1996 Ranger I used to have back then. It is a very solid truck, loads of room in the cabin, great bed to work with, and since it is front wheel drive I am looking fwd to seeing how it does in the snow this winter. If you order one, get the Lariat, for a few thousand more it is worth it. Hope this review helps ! PS, I was thinking of ordering a 2023 Ford Bronco 2 door, but when I sat in one at a local car show, I realized my Maverick was much more roomier and comfortable than the full size Bronco. I will stick with my Maverick !… - 5.0
2 Maverick Family

Reviewed my 22 lariat AWD last year when I’d had it for 2 days gave it a 4 star after owning it 18 months and 29K miles I’d raise my satisfaction rate to 4.7 stars. Great milage averaging 33mpg. Like it so much bought the wife a slightly used 23 lariat hybrid. Like it even better than the AWD after 4K and 1 month ownership averaging 46mpg that’s 75% highway. Pros: mileage on either hybrid or AWD model, ride is not too bad, fells planted to road, adaptive cruise/ lane keep/ aeb braking. Easy to park Cons: no power passenger seat, no fog lights, door pockets are worthless can’t keep travel mug or bottled water in as they won’t fit, ice scraper falls out every time open or close door. no auto dimming rear view mirror, bed leaks with installed cover, not enough room to adjust power seat with door closed. If Ford would fix a few minor things they’d have the perfect truck.…
