Notes from the dealer
This SUV appeals to buyers who prioritize flexible cabin space, up-to-date connectivity, and advanced driver assistance. With seating for up to eight, a split-bench third row, and an 8-way power driver's seat, it suits growing families or those who regularly transport passengers. Tech-minded shoppers will appreciate Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM with 360L, while comfort is enhanced by dual-zone climate control and heated steering wheel, supporting both daily routines and longer trips.
The Traverse balances responsive daily driving with confident highway manners. Its 2.5L DOHC engine delivers smooth power through an 8-speed automatic transmission, optimizing fuel efficiency and performance for a midsize SUV. All-wheel drive provides additional traction in adverse weather, and the four-wheel independent suspension ensures a composed ride. Steering feels direct, and the vehicle maintains stability even when fully loaded, supporting a variety of driving needs.
Safety is a focal point, with features such as Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and a rearview camera. Lane Keep Assist gently corrects steering if the SUV drifts, while Blind Spot Monitoring alerts to vehicles in adjacent lanes. The rear camera aids in tight parking, and ABS brakes, traction control, and electronic stability control ensure grip and predictability in emergencies. Multiple airbags and child-seat sensing add extra peace of mind.
The feature set centers on convenience and technology. The 17.7-inch infotainment display offers intuitive navigation and smartphone integration, while heated front seats and a premium cloth interior enhance comfort. The power liftgate streamlines cargo access, and rear air conditioning ensures all passengers stay comfortable. Drivers benefit from remote keyless entry, a heated steering wheel, alloy wheels, and a host of steering wheel-mounted controls for safer operation.
Compared to alternatives like the Ford Explorer and Honda Pilot, the Traverse stands out with its expansive infotainment screen and emphasis on standard driver-assist features. While competitors offer similar seating and cargo flexibility, this SUVâs technology integration and user-friendly controls give it an edge for buyers who value modern connectivity and intuitive operation.
Key features include the spacious three-row seating, 8-way power driverâs seat, advanced infotainment system, and robust safety technology suite. On the road, the Traverse offers smooth acceleration and composed handling, making it suitable for city commutes and long trips alike. Safety systems such as Blind Spot Monitoring and Lane Keep Assist are standard. Before test driving, note the vehicleâs generous interior volume and technology-rich cabin.

Mean looking SUV that looks more like a truck
by Anonymous Reviewer on 10/24/2024 7:33:54 PM
Man, Chevrolet just hit it out of the park with this one. The redesigned 2024 Traverse looks like a truck. Bigger than any other mid-sized SUV, more space compared to all midsize SUVs, best looking mid sized SUV. Everything is grand and big. Very comfortable seats. Engine is 4-cyl with turbo and works adequately. Will make a sound when accelerated or pushed hard but not a deal breaker. The infotainment system/screen and tech is amazing. Rear view camera, park assist, 360 degree camera. Ambient lighting. Mind blown! My first American car after having 4 japanese cars (3 Mazdas and 1 Suzuki) and 1 German (BMW). I am amazed. Hopefully this wont break because I am hearing complaints about failed transmission from some Z71 AWD twin clutch vehicles. I get an average of about 22 in city and 28 on the highways. Wish there was a hybrid option but then I remembered Toyota Grand Highlander has a stop sale on their models. Honda pilot, Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade doesn't have as of writing this review in Sep 2024. Mazda CX-90 was my other choice but it has no space in the 3rd row and behind the 3rd row. This traverse a decent sized adult can easily fit in the 3rd row. The steering wheel is so thick and suspension very soft. Comfortable for families who love some flare!
