Notes from the dealer
This SUV stands out for enthusiasts who value a visceral driving experience. Its 6-speed manual gearbox, robust 3.6L V6 engine, and rear-wheel-biased 4WD system appeal to drivers seeking mechanical connection and real input. The Wranglerâs unfiltered steering feel and responsive throttle make daily commutes or weekend getaways uniquely engaging, especially for those who appreciate feeling every nuance of the road.
Delivering 285 horsepower, the V6 engine responds eagerly to throttle inputs, pairing with a 6-speed manual transmission that shifts with satisfying precision. Each gear change is deliberate, with a mechanical weight that rewards timing and skill. The normal duty suspension settles the chassis confidently over undulating terrain, while the steering offers genuine feedback, letting you sense road texture and camber changes. Brake pedal feel is linear and confidence-inspiring, ideal for spirited driving or precise modulation in traffic. The Wranglerâs short wheelbase further enhances agility, making it fun on twisty roads and adept at quick directional changes.
Safety technology in this vehicle is tuned to enhance, not overshadow, driver control. Electronic Stability Control and Traction Control intervene smoothly at the limit, supporting aggressive cornering without numbing feedback. Four-wheel disc brakes, ABS, and Brake Assist ensure strong, predictable stops, while the ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera aids maneuvering without intruding on the driving experience. Integrated roll-over protection provides peace of mind, and advanced airbags protect without adding weight or complexity. Lane keeping is left entirely to the driver, preserving the purity of the Wranglerâs dynamic feel.
The Quick Order Package 23B adds comfort and convenience, seamlessly blending function with the SUVâs rugged nature. Air conditioning, a Uconnect 3 system with a 5-inch display, and eight speakers create an inviting cabin environment. Steering wheel-mounted audio controls keep entertainment close at hand, while speed control and a trip computer make longer drives effortless. Cloth low-back bucket seats offer firm support for spirited driving. Fog lights, a compass, and a rear reading light serve both practicality and adventure-ready utility.
Against competitors like the Toyota 4Runner and Ford Bronco, the Wrangler excels in raw driver engagement. Its manual transmission and mechanical steering are more direct and connected than the often-isolated feel of rivals. While others offer comfort-focused tuning, the Wrangler prioritizes authentic feedback and tactile enjoyment, giving it an edge for those who crave involvement behind the wheel.
Is this vehicle engaging to drive? Absolutelyâ"the communicative steering, manual transmission, and lively V6 provide a fun, rewarding experience on any road. How does the transmission perform in sport mode? The 6-speed manual delivers direct, precise shifts and responsive engagement without delay. Whatâs the steering feel like?

Cross wind squeal noise
by Kagreer on Thursday, May 07, 2020
At around 70mph and a cross wind blowing from mainly to right side of Jeep causes a squealing noise coming from the dash. Took it to dealer who took out other 2020 and got the same result. He said it haha to do with the air intake process but was unable to fix. Not a show stopper love the car but by this time puzzled that a new car would have this kind of issue. Expect a resolution from Jeep! - 5.0
Fun Willies Convertible - know what you’re buying
by Yellowdr on Wednesday, December 23, 2020
Pros: Fun- Convertible for Off Road and Northeast weather. Great Pentastar engine and Willies Package options Great Style and modern convenience of Bluetooth. Makes for a good commuter for backroads and bad weather. Our 7th Wrangler. Good/Bad: Tires and suspension on Willies Model is just want I wanted but ‘newbies’ beware of bouncing and veering as aggressive tread on tires pulls Jeep around. Not intended to drive highways at 90mph if you’re not experienced with off road tires etc. My wife loved her unlimited with longer wheelbase but did not want to drive 2 dr wrangler for these issues. Cons: I hate the default engine shut off in traffic/stops. Default “should” be to turn feature on. Doesn’t seem to save a dime on gas or improve MPG. Very disappointed with this. Otherwise- MPG not better than previous models Backseat is not for adults but then .... it’s a 2dr wrangler Did I mention engine shut off default is terrible? - 5.0
I love my Ruby the Rubicon! 10/10 all round.
by ruby the rubicon on Thursday, April 09, 2020
I have had a Nissan Sentra, Honda CRV, Mercedes 230 sedan, Mercedes GLS ( which I still have and very much love to drive), Nissan Quest minivan, Ford Fiesta, Chevy Cruze and Toyota Sienna in my (and my wife's) driving life, nothing quite like a Jeep Rubicon! I got the leather seats installed at a reputable dealer. It is a pure joy to ride everyday. It combines authority with masculinity and civilization. Got it early for my 50th birthday, after many years of thought. Absolutely pleased with it.
