Notes from the dealer
Parents with young children and active families with teens will appreciate the SUVâs blend of comfort, space, and versatility. The RAV4 Hybrid suits growing families needing easy car seat installation and frequent reconfigurations, as well as those with older kids requiring plenty of rear legroom and cargo flexibility for extracurriculars. Its all-wheel drive and advanced safety systems support busy family schedules and give peace of mind, even when new drivers are behind the wheel.
Smooth, quiet acceleration delivered by the 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid engine and eCVT transmission makes every ride gentle enough for sleeping babies yet powerful enough for highway merging with a full load of passengers. The hybrid system provides responsive power while maintaining impressive fuel economy, reducing stops during long road trips. All-wheel drive offers confidence in changing weather, and the RAV4 Hybridâs suspension ensures comfort and control on both city commutes and weekend adventures.
Peace of mind is a core strength, with a comprehensive suite of safety features designed to protect what matters most. The RAV4 Hybrid offers LATCH anchors on both outboard rear seats, plus a tether anchor for the middle, simplifying car seat installation. Dual front, side, knee, and full-length curtain airbags cover all rows. Standard active safety includes an exterior parking camera, ABS, traction control, and Toyotaâs Safety Connect. Crash test data should be verified for the 2025 model, but past RAV4s have earned top marks, reinforcing its reputation as a family safety leader.
The XLE trim enhances family comfort with dual-zone automatic climate control, power driver seat, and rear seat center armrest for added convenience. Entertainment is handled by a 12-speaker AM/FM/XM audio system with steering wheel controls, while features like keyless entry, automatic headlights, heated mirrors, and a rear window wiper keep everyday routines simple. Fabric-trimmed seats provide durability for busy families, and split-folding rear seats make it easy to balance passenger and cargo needs.
In direct comparison to the Honda CR-V Hybrid and Subaru Forester, the RAV4 Hybrid stands out with its rear seat car seat compatibility, easier LATCH access, and more flexible rear cargo arrangements. While competitors offer similar fuel economy, this SUVâs blend of family-focused features and proven Toyota reliability delivers peace of mind and high value for parents prioritizing child safety and daily practicality.
Three car seats fit comfortably in the rear, with easy-to-access LATCH anchors simplifying installation. The RAV4 Hybridâs comprehensive airbag coverage and advanced stability controls make it a reassuring choice for families with kids or teens. Past models have received top NHTSA and IIHS crash test ratings, and families benefit from features like the rearview camera and rear seat reminder for added safety and awareness.

Nice Ride but ONE issue...
by Greg on Thursday, December 23, 2021
This has been a good choice in vehicles. It rides well, very comfortable, decent sound system, good mileage, adaptive cruise and lane assist work well. My only issue is the noise levels. There is little to no soundproofing or insulation. Even the underside of the hood is bare. - 4.0
Loved it until this morning
by T on Tuesday, May 19, 2020
Really loved the car. Was quite comfortable and had decent mileage. Then this morning our 5 month old 2020 Rav4 AWD XLE premium, driven daily. I parked it for 16 hours overnight. This morning battery was dead, nothing was left on. Checked it out at 5.59 volts on the Fluke meter. By the time the tow truck showed up a half hour later it's at 5.49. Something is very wrong here. After checking online it seems this is not an isolated case. Many 2020 Rav4's with dead batteries and no resolution from Toyota. I bought this because our 2018 Rav4 was so reliable. Now I don't know if I can trust this car. Toyota better fix this issue or I'm not going to buy another car from them! - 2.0
Too much road noise, some rattling and fuel tank
by Seymour on Sunday, August 02, 2020
Can hear a fair amount of road noise when driving and rattling inside, car seems on the unstable side while driving, car is advertised to have a 14.5 gallon fuel tank, but what they don’t disclose to you if you buy one it only fills up to about 10 gallons then the pump clicks off, your suppose to get 580 miles to empty on a full tank but since the pump clicks off before the tank is full you only get around 400 miles to empty, looked online to discover this started with the 2019’s when Toyota redesigned the fuel tank but they are still selling the vehicle without telling customers about this issue and still saying it has a 14.5 gallon tank and you’ll get 580 miles to empty on a full tank but with the changes they made to the fuel tank in 2019 that cause the pump to click off before the tank is full getting 14.5 gallons and or the 580 miles to empty is misleading, I contacted Toyota they said they know about it and are working on a solution but why is it taking so long, they did the redesign of the RAV4 hybrids fuel tanks in 2019 which according to Toyota is the cause of the issue, it’s now over halfway to 2021 still they haven’t fixed the problem and their dealerships continue to sell this vehicle without disclosing the fuel tank problem.
