Dealer Notes
The 2025 Ford Maverick XLT AWD Hybrid, finished in Azure Gray Metallic, is engineered for daily versatility and long-term ownership satisfaction. Outfitted with a 2.5L I-4 hybrid engine and a CVT, it blends robust utility with high efficiency.
This Maverick XLT appeals to buyers prioritizing low ownership costs, environmental responsibility, and everyday practicality. Its hybrid powertrain is ideal for drivers who want to maximize fuel savings without sacrificing utility, such as urban dwellers with occasional cargo needs or families needing a flexible second vehicle. The AWD system is suited for those facing inclement weather or who value extra confidence on varied roads.
The 2.5L I-4 hybrid engine in the Maverick XLT delivers 40/34 MPG (city/highway), providing significant fuel cost savings over time, especially for those with longer commutes or varied daily driving. The hybrid systemâs seamless transitions between gas and electric power ensure smooth acceleration and quiet operation in stop-and-go traffic. The all-wheel-drive setup increases stability and control on slippery surfaces, while the CVT transmission optimizes efficiency and reduces mechanical wear.
Ford equips the Maverick XLT with a comprehensive suite of safety technologies designed to actively and passively protect occupants. The Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking detects potential frontal impacts and applies the brakes to help avoid or mitigate accidents. Multiple airbags, including knee and side-impact units, work alongside electronic stability control and traction control to maintain vehicle composure in emergencies.
The Equipment Group 301A and XLT Luxury Package add meaningful upgrades that enhance comfort, convenience, and practicality for daily use and longer trips. The Luxury Package elevates the interior with unique cloth bucket seats, automatic temperature control, and a premium 12-speaker sound system, making commutes and road trips more enjoyable. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration ensure seamless smartphone connectivity, while SiriusXM with 360L expands audio entertainment options.
Within the compact pickup segment, the Maverick XLT Hybrid distinguishes itself from models like the Hyundai Santa Cruz and Honda Ridgeline. Compared to the Santa Cruz, the Maverickâs hybrid system yields superior fuel efficiency, particularly for drivers prioritizing low operating costs, whereas the Santa Cruz offers a turbocharged setup with higher peak output but lower efficiency.
Shoppers often ask how the Maverick XLT differs from other trimsâ"the XLT includes features such as unique alloy wheels, upgraded cloth seats, and the option for the XLT Luxury Package, which further advances interior comfort and tech. Safety technologies like Pre-Collision Assist are standard and serve to actively monitor road conditions, providing alerts and intervention to help prevent accidents. The Luxury Package enhances daily usability with premium audio, climate control, and smartphone integration, all designed for convenience and minimal distraction.

A solid choice
By Jdav | on Sunday, January 29, 2023
I’ve had my Lariat for 6 months now and I am happy with it. Although the entry models are very well priced for a brand new vehicle, I chose the Lariat without any upgrade packages as the XL & XLT do not have the current “luxuries” that most would consider standard in a new vehicle. (Push start, dash screen, “leather” seats) The Maverick is the perfect vehicle to suit work and everyday life without breaking the bank. Pros: well priced, well designed interior with ample storage, good on gas, comfortable seats, strong engine, great handling and overall feel without the overbearing ride and size of a truck. Cons: engine auto stop/start cannot be permanently disengaged, sync/bluetooth system can be glitchy on occasion, wind noise at highway speed is noticeable, adding extras to your build can get very pricey.… - 5.0
If you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90's
By Maverick Guy | on Friday, September 30, 2022
It took me a year, but this past summer my Ford Maverick finally came in. I got the XLT trim with only 2 options, the Blind Spot and the 2.0 Eco Boost engine for more power. So far, it has been a great truck. If I watch my rpm.s, in the econ mode I get 30 mpg around town and on the hwy. The only issue so far is a clicking type rattle in my dash that only happens on certain slow bumps in my neighborhood, once I am on the highway it goes away. Strange. Anyway, if you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90s, this truck reminds me of a 1996 Ranger I used to have back then. It is a very solid truck, loads of room in the cabin, great bed to work with, and since it is front wheel drive I am looking fwd to seeing how it does in the snow this winter. If you order one, get the Lariat, for a few thousand more it is worth it. Hope this review helps ! PS, I was thinking of ordering a 2023 Ford Bronco 2 door, but when I sat in one at a local car show, I realized my Maverick was much more roomier and comfortable than the full size Bronco. I will stick with my Maverick !… - 5.0
2 Maverick Family

Reviewed my 22 lariat AWD last year when I’d had it for 2 days gave it a 4 star after owning it 18 months and 29K miles I’d raise my satisfaction rate to 4.7 stars. Great milage averaging 33mpg. Like it so much bought the wife a slightly used 23 lariat hybrid. Like it even better than the AWD after 4K and 1 month ownership averaging 46mpg that’s 75% highway. Pros: mileage on either hybrid or AWD model, ride is not too bad, fells planted to road, adaptive cruise/ lane keep/ aeb braking. Easy to park Cons: no power passenger seat, no fog lights, door pockets are worthless can’t keep travel mug or bottled water in as they won’t fit, ice scraper falls out every time open or close door. no auto dimming rear view mirror, bed leaks with installed cover, not enough room to adjust power seat with door closed. If Ford would fix a few minor things they’d have the perfect truck.…
