Dealer Notes
The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend stands out in the compact SUV class, especially when cross-shopped against the Subaru Forester and Jeep Compass. With standard 4WD, the Black Diamond Off-Road Package, and a proven 1.5L EcoBoost engine, it offers superior versatility and real-world efficiency at 25/30 MPG. Its blend of rugged capability and urban-friendly features makes it the clear choice for drivers needing adaptability and comfort in every drive.
Shoppers weighing the Bronco Sport Big Bend against segment competitors often prioritize versatility, advanced features, and genuine off-road ability. This SUV excels for those who need reliable four-season traction, frequent outdoor adventures, or a daily commute with advanced tech. With easy-to-clean interior surfaces, remote keyless entry, and a suite of convenience features, itâs especially well-suited for active families, pet owners, and anyone who values both comfort and resilience in a compact footprint.
While the Subaru Forester offers symmetrical all-wheel drive and the Jeep Compass brings a Trailhawk trim, the Bronco Sport Big Bend delivers standard 4WD plus the Black Diamond Off-Road Package for additional ground clearance and enhanced underbody protection. Its 1.5L EcoBoost engine, paired to an 8-speed automatic, provides responsive power for urban and highway driving. The 17-inch alloy wheels and four-wheel independent suspension ensure compliant ride quality, while speed-sensing steering offers agile handling for city and backroad travel.
Safety is a standout area for the Bronco Sport Big Bend, with active equipment like four-wheel disc brakes, ABS, electronic stability control, and traction control all standard. Unlike some competitors, rear parking sensors and automatic high-beam headlights are included at no extra charge. The SYNC 4 911 Assist system, front and side impact airbags, knee airbags, and a comprehensive airbag suite enhance occupant protection. This ensures peace of mind whether navigating city streets or venturing off the beaten path.
The Bronco Sport Big Bend is equipped with the Black Diamond Off-Road Package, adding rugged capability, and the Convenience Package for elevated everyday usability. Features like heated mirrors, automatic temperature control, 12-speaker SiriusXM audio, and a split-folding rear seat maximize both comfort and utility. The easy-to-clean cloth upholstery and adjustable steering further tailor the interior to active lifestyles, while advanced connectivity and rear wiper/defroster add practical convenience.
Compared to the Subaru Forester and Jeep Compass, the Bronco Sport Big Bend offers standard 4WD and specialized off-road features that often cost extra elsewhere. Its 25/30 MPG rating is competitive, and interior comfort is bolstered by more standard tech and convenience features. Where rivals may require package upgrades for true all-terrain capability or premium audio, this vehicle delivers them up front, reinforcing its high value proposition in the segment.
Choosing the Bronco Sport Big Bend over alternatives answers several critical questions: It stands out for standard 4WD with genuine off-road enhancements, whereas others often charge more for similar capability. Advanced safety tech, including rear parking sensors and SYNC 4 911 Assist, is built in.

2024 Bronco Sport Big Bend
By ARB in NH | on Saturday, January 04, 2025
Coming out of a 2020 Ford Edge ST, I wasn't expecting a whole lot - but I'm actually pretty impressed. Tiny 1.5 3cyl is actually OK, especially in sport mode. I averaged 30mpg on a trip and about 25 or 26 everyday driving. Vehicle is very versatile and a tank in the snow here in New England. Build quality so far - excellent. Zero issues. Have only owned for 5 months, so I guess time will tell. I have the Convenience Package and power moonroof and navigation - essentials in my book. My only complaints are that Ford kind of scrimps on the little things - i.e. power windows - driver side only is auto up, other windows are not auto down or up, my brother owned a 2002 Volvo and it had all 4 windows auto down and auto up. Also no remote start on the key fob on the Big Bend trim, have to step up to the Outer Banks for that. C'mon Ford - for 34K, can we get a remote start key fob please. Thankful for the FordPass app - which allows remote start via phone. Ride quality is excellent and handling is very respectable. I'm 6 feet, 250 pounds - it's very comfortable. Solid vehicle - highly recommend.… - 5.0
2025 is the year model to get
By No ah guy | on Saturday, March 15, 2025
I got a 2025 Big Bend with the black diamond off road package. The steel modular front and rear in combination with bush guard gives this year model. A very aggressive off road look. With the ability to easily mount accessories and power them with the factory installed auxiliary switches. Hitch receiver seamlessly mounted into the rear steel bumper flanked by some very chunky recovery points. The upgraded aluminum rims wrapped with Continental all-terrains. It make this the most capable bronco sport yet. The interior of the 2025 has been updated with a new 13 inch touchscreen with Android Auto and apple car play. The lines of the dash flow elegantly from the new infotainment screen to the new all digital 12 inch gauge chaster. Toggling through the different modes on the gauge chaster is very intuitive, and all the displays are laid out very cleanly. Moving from gauge chaster the center storage cubby just below the infotainment screen there is a wireless charger and USB/ USB-c ports. The passenger side of that same cubby gets a handle and a matching one on the roof just in case the driver bucks a little too much. The passenger also gets a mesh storage area. That leads us to the fact this vehicle has tons of storage options all throughout. You have pockets on the sides of the front two seat big enough for the latest new phones. Very generous door storage on all four doors plus huge glove box and center console with 12 volt outlet. The back side of the center console has air vents and another 12 volt outlet plus a 110 outlet. Now getting to the cargo area it is massive for a crossover SUV. With off road package you get a cargo management system and a very nice rubber mat. Under that there is a full size tire plus scissor jack and funnel to use with the capless filler system. On the liftgate there isa pair of very bright led lights turned on with a switch in the cargo area. This feature packed vehicle has tons awesome gadgets and hidden a little homages I spend all day just talk that. At the end of the day it is car. So how does it drive. It is wonderful, the steering and pedal response is beautiful. Rides very smooth and little to no road noise going down the highway. The active cruise control and co-pilot 360 have been very handy. The car literally drives itself most of the time. There is not enough good things I could same about this car. I love it and you pick one too. You will see what I mean.… - 5.0
Had for a year, still love it
By jj89 | on Saturday, February 15, 2025
We've kept up with trucks in the snow and ice, and taken it to the beach with a paddle board on top. We can fit a bike in the back, and it's the perfect vehicle to put our Lab in, the rubber is so easy to clean. The seats are easy to keep clean too, even with kids. It also gets great mpg, even with the 4x4. I feel really secure driving around corners and it maneuvers in and out of traffic easily. So far we haven't had any issues, and I'd definitely buy another. But I'll probably drive this for several years.…
